Since this is <br />simply a formality because the City of Clevelaryd requires a separate easement, <br />the committee had no objections. <br />Mr. McKay, Chairperson of the Environmental Gontrol Committee, reported: 1) On <br />Saturday, October 16, attended a meeting of the Soil aryl Water Conservation <br />District. The District is asking for support of Issue 1 which dea:].s with parks <br />and natural resources. Also, the Issue will provide for reheybilitstion of 31 <br />dams that presently do not meet State requirements. It is a renews]. and will not <br />increase taxes. <br />Mr. McKay, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health encl. Welfare Committee, <br />reported: 1) The committee met on Tuesday, October 19, and in att~e were <br />Council Members Leonard, Lind aryl McKay. The following was discussed. <br />a. Ordinance 93-125 which provides for the removal of a no p~rk3.r~g sign located <br />on the cul-de-sac of Grace Roil. ryarth of Mastiek Road. The r,~t was mgcie by <br />all ten residents of the eul-de-sac, and the committee recoaam~:ued approval. <br />Mr. Lind, Chairperson of the Finance Committee, reported: 1) The committee met <br />on Tuesday, October 19, at 7 p.m. In attendance were committee s Leoris;rd <br />and Lind, Finance Director Burns and Council Member McKay. All the items <br />discussed will. be 1994 expenditures but are being presented. ~aarly so that the <br />contracts can be released at the start of the construction season at a more <br />favorable rate. The agenda items were as follows: <br />a. Resolution 93-127 which authorizes the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for partial depth concrete joint repair. The committee <br />recoanryended passage. <br />b. Resolution 93-128 which authorizes the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for cracksealing. The committee recommended passage. <br />c. Resolution 93-129 which authorizes the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for pulva mixing on various streets. The committee <br />recommended passage. <br />d. Resolution 93-130 which authorizes the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise .for bids for 5,000 tons of asphalt and tack coating. The committee <br />recommended passage. <br />e. Resolution 93-131 which authorizes the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for 2,000 tons of stone. The committee recommended passage. <br />2. Ordinance 93-120, the appropriations for 1994, will be discussed at length <br />during future meetings. T1~ committee suggested arxi recommended that one-third <br />of the appropriated amounts be used as a temporary speryding measure. <br />Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Streets & Drainage Committee, reported: 1) The <br />committee met on October 12, and in attendance were Council Members Beringer and <br />Nashar and Service Director Bohlmann. The following was discussed: <br />a. Ordinance 93-132 which provides for enclosing the open ditch west of Walter <br />Road that is approximately 250 to 275 feet in length.
