Council Minutes of 9/7/93 <br />Building Commissioner Conway, Service Director Bohlmann. The following items <br />were discussed: <br />a. Ordinance 93-106, which will repeal Section 139.04 of the Codified Ordinances <br />pertaining to the registration axxi payment of a $15 fee for private police. This <br />had been objected to aACI: brought before the Ohio Supreme Court. The Court ruled <br />that the city caimot require payment of a fee. The com~.ittee supports Ordr~nce <br />93-106 since private imTestig~-tors/security guards- are registered by the State. <br />b. The cc~mittee <br />recarrmended approval of the ordinance. <br />2) Mr. McKay moved to approve the transfer of a liquor permit from Sly Fox, 4755 <br />Great Northern Blvd. to Madira Corg. DBA Sly Fox, 4755 Great Northern Blvd.; <br />secorxl by Mr. Leonard; motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Lind, Chairperson of the Finance Committee, reported: 1) The committee met <br />on August 25. Present were Council Memtaers Leonard, Beringer, Lind, McKay, <br />Musial, Nashar; Safety Director Gurydy; Building Commissioner Conway; Service <br />Director Bohlmaruy. The following items were discussed. <br />a. Ordinance 93-103, which calls fora 2% surcharge on building permit fees. <br />The committee will study this proposal further. <br />b. Ordinance 93-101, which provides for architectural services for Town Hall. <br />The cost will be approxi3mately $5,000. The committee recommeryded approval. <br />c. Ordinance 93-102, which will authorize the city to submit application for <br />Issue 2 funds. The comm9itt~ recommeryded approval. <br />d. Ordinances 93-109, which authorizes the Mayor to contract for a feasibility <br />study for the senior citizen complex. It is anticipated that the feasibility <br />study will cost $15,000. The committee recommecxled approval. <br />e. Ordinance 93-110, which provides for architectural services for the senior <br />citizen complex. It is anticipated the cost for a preliminary design and. concept <br />will be $19,800. The committee recomme~xied approval. <br />f. Ordinance 93-88, which provides for awards to employees for suggesting cost- <br />saving measures.. The language relating to the establishment of a new fund was <br />removed. The committee recommended approval. <br />Z) Mr. Lind presented to the Mayor, Service Director and Streets & Drainage <br />Chairman Nashar a petition from Westchester and Olmsted Drive residents. The <br />residents are protesting the decision not to put down a one inch overlay of <br />asphalt a~ instead to just do patching. <br />Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Streets & Drainage Committee, reported: 1) A <br />meeting was held at City Hall on August 31 regarding the Crocker/Steams <br />extension.
