A videotape of the property was made <br />before the work began, and Mr. Wolfs can ccxt~e down to City Hall to view this <br />tape. With regard to the fencing, there had been quite a debate between cyclone <br />fencing ar green vinyl fencing. The city decided to put in cyclone fencing <br />because a number of cyclone fences were already there. For the safety of the <br />children and the ditch itself, all property awr~re who did not have fencing would <br />be given a fence. Unfortunately, st~eone spread the word that the fe€~cing was <br />going to be green vinyl. The specifications of the contract never called for <br />green vinyl fencing. The property will be restored to Mr. Wolfs' satisfaction. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 93-20 introduced by Mrs. Beringer was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1309 of the Codified Ordinances, <br />entitled "National Electric Code," aryd declaring an emergency. Mrs. Beringer <br />moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 93-20 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 93-21 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayer of the City of North Olmsted to participate in <br />the Ohio Department of Transportation's cooperative purchasing program, and <br />declaring an urgency. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mrs. Babas; <br />motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 93-21 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 93-18 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its secorxi reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses anti expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1993, as amended. Mr. <br />Lind moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; secorxi by Mr. <br />McKay; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Lind moves. for adoption and commented that <br />93-18 had been discussed in the Finance Coam~ittee; second by Mr. McKay. Roll <br />call: Lind, yes; McKay, yes; Beringer, yes; Musial, yes; Leonard,. no; Babas, <br />yes; Nashar, yes. Motion passed with six "yes" votes and one "no" vote. <br />Ordinance No. 93-18 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 93-19 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second readasig. .An <br />ordinance establishing rates of codnpensation for various administrative and <br />legislative personnel, and declaring an urgency, as amended. Mr. Lirxi moved <br />for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. McKay; motion <br />passed unanimously. Mr. Lind moved for adoption and cotunted that this <br />ordinance had been discussed in the Finance Comtuittee; second by Mr. McKay. Ro11 <br />call: Lind, yes; McKay, yes; Leonard, no; Babas, yes; Musial, yes; Nashar, yes; <br />Beringer, yes. Motion passed with six "yes" votes an3 one "no" vote. Ordinance <br />No. 93-19 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 93-23 introduced by Mayor Boyle and the entire Council was given <br />its second reading. An ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City <br />of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement with Howard, Needles, Taun and <br />Bergendoff to provide engineering services pertaining to preliminary plans, <br />{Phase I) to provide grading, drainage, landscaping, and fencing for the addition <br />of an earth mound along the proposed Crocker-Stearns Road in the City of North <br />Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />5 <br />r~~ <br />
