Council Minutes of 2/16/93 <br />LEGISLATION (continued) <br />Reso ution No. - introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for and accept <br />bids for the construction of an unloading station at the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor to <br />contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. Lind; motion passed. unanimously. Resolution No. 93-7 adapted. <br />Resolution No. 93-8 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for and accept <br />bids for the videotaping of sewers at various locations in the City, as detailed <br />in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. Nashar moved. for adoption; second by Mrs. <br />Beringer; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 93-$ adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 93-10 introduced by Mr. Leonard was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance accepting a traffic. control equipment easement located on property <br />owned by National City Bank and designated as Permanent Parcel No. 232-28-58 by <br />Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, said easement shown on Exhibit "B" and <br />declaring an emergency. Mrs. Beringer moved for adoption; seco~ by Mx:s. Bahas; <br />motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 93-10 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 93-9 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance establishing the organization and composition of the nc~-uniform, <br />part-time personnel of the Police Department and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 93-12 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its .second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for arui accept <br />bids for uniforms for Wastewater Treatment Plant and Service Department <br />personnel, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor <br />to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 93-13 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its secorxi. reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for and accept <br />bids for laboratory analytical services to support the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant, as detailed in the specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor to <br />contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 93-14 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $2,000,000 motes, in <br />anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the .purpose of improving the municipal <br />sanitary sewer system by constructing, reconstructing, rehabilitating aril <br />replacing sanitary sewers and sanitary sewer connections and by improving and <br />equipping the Wastewater Treatment Plant, together with the necessary <br />appurtenances and work incidental thereto. <br />Resolution No. 93-15 was introduced. and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle on <br />behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution urging Congress to <br />support the retention and consolidation of the Defense Finance and Accounting <br />Service in Cleveland. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings and committee review; seeorxi by Mr. Nashar; mdtic~ passed <br />unanimously.
