Agenda items were as follows:
a. Water line replacement and r of Westchester Drive and Coe Avenue. The
committee was concerned about gthe~ng the water lines on these streets. However,
consultant Jeffrey Filarski of Western Reserve Engineering told the coiiimittee that relining
the water lines would not add but would increase flow pressure. Because flow
pressure is not a problem in these areas, the committee decided not to reline the water
lines. Accordmg to Mr. Filarski, water line breaks are caused by corrosion, stress due to
construction and poor drainage of the soiq around the water 1me. Once the cctiistniction of
the new streets is complete, there should not be a problem with the water lines.
b. The street program will be confined to projects previously scheduled for 1995.
c. Storm management in 1995 will include the Coe ditch near Atribour Drive and Clague
Road; the box culvert near Claque Road and Esther Avenue, the cod of which will be
shared by the county; drainage in the Daiiberry Drive and Georgette Avenue area.
Mrs. Saringer, Chairperson of the Big, Zoning and Development Coiiimittee,
reported: 1) The committee met on November 3 with the following people in attendance:
committee members McKay, Nasliar, Beringer; Councilman Limpert; Building
Commissioner Conway; Assi~ant Engineer McDermott; Assistant Law Director Dubelko;
Service Director Bohlmann.
