Council Minutes of October 18, 1994 Mr. Lind, Chairperson of the Finance Committee reported: 1) The committee met on Wednesday, October 12. Agenda items were as follows: a. Ordinance 94-149 which provides for the construction of fuel island canopies at the Service Garage and Police Station. This project hall been improved ewer this year and the money was appropriated.. The cost is approximately 525,0#10, and the canopies will be built with outside and inside labor. The committee recommended approval. b. Springvale legislation. Ordinance 94-154 which establishes the rates of compensation for staff positions at Springvale. Ordinance 94-155 whits creates the division `North Olmsted Springvale Golf Course" withui the Safety Department. Ordinance 94-157 which establishes fees for Springvale. Ordinance 94-158 which establishes the petty cash fund for Springvale. The committee recommended approval. Mrs. Saringer asked Mr. Lind if the salary ranges were the same as those under the previous management. Mr. Lind and Mayor Boyle said the salaries were the same except for one that had a slight increase because the job resporun'bility had been increased. Mr. Nashar asked if the positions were managerial and non-union. Mayor Boyle said there were no union positions at the golf course at this time. Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee, reported: 1) The committee met on October 12. In attendance were committee members Lin~ert, Saringer, Nashar; Council Members Musial and Lind; Safety Director Kesler. Agenda items were as follows: a. Ordinance 94-130 which provides fora "No Right Turn on Red from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m, Weekdays" sign at Mastick Road and Cohunbia Road. The committee recommended approval. b. Ordinance 94-151 which provides fora `~1o Right Turn on Red from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., School Days" sign at Maple Ridge eastbound at Claque Road. The committee recommended approval. c. Ordinance 94-152 which provides fora "No Right Turn on Red from 7 a.m to 4:30 p.m, School Days" sign at Claque Road southbound at Maple Ridge. The committee recommended approval. d. Ordinance 94-153 which provides fora "No Right Turn on Red Between the Hours of 12 noon to 6:30 p.m, Weekdays" sign at the Brookpark Road extension westbound at Dover Center Road. The committee will hold further discussions with the Safety Director on this legislation, and it will be held in committee for the present. Mr. Musial commented that the Police Department had reviewed Ordinances 94-151 and 94-152 and had no problems with either of them Ordinance 94-153 was being held in committee because he has not given up hope of a traffic signal at the intersection of Dover 4
