Council Minutes of 4/5/94 <br />Mr. Musial, Chairperson of the Transportation Committee, reported: 1) The committee <br />held a meeting on March 23, and in attendance were Council Members Bahas, Beringer, <br />Musial and Limpert; Safety Director Gundy; Human Resources Director Copeland. The <br />meeting was held to discuss Ordinance No. ~ 94-12 whicl- addresses the problem of <br />individuals creating disturbances on public transportation. After some discussion, the <br />committee approved passage of the ordinance contingent upon the correction of some <br />minor errors. <br />Mrs. Beringer reported for Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and <br />Welfare Committee: 1) Mrs. Sariager moved to approve the trasis~fer of a liquor license <br />from A Beverages Inc., DBA Great Northern Beverages, 2592&31 Great Northern <br />Shopping Center to A Beverages Inc., DBA Northern Beverage, 25911 Great Northern <br />Shopping Center. This is Muiotti's Beverage, which has been granted a liquor store <br />franchise by the State. The motion was seeded by Mr. McKay and unanimously <br />approved. <br />Mrs. Bahas, Chairperson of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee, <br />reported: 1) The committee met on March 23 to discuss Ordinance 94-62, which amends <br />the Codified Ordmances to correct incons~encies in Recreation Department job titles. <br />The committee approved passage of the ordinance. <br />Mr. McKay, Chairperson of the Streets and Drainage Committee, reported: 1) The <br />committee met on March 23, and in attendance were committee members Nasltar, <br />Limpert, McKay; and Council Members Bahas, Beringer and Musial. The following items <br />were discussed: <br />a. Ordinance 94-56, which addresses street vacations. The proposed ordinance would <br />increase the fee from $500 to $1,000. The committee decided to amend the ordinance to <br />read, "....per parcel of land by the benefiting property owner." The committee <br />recommended passage of the amended ordinance. <br />b. Ordinance 94-57, which deals with excavations. The fee will be increased from $25 to <br />$50. Also, the applicant will be required to carry liability insurance. The connrrrittee will <br />further discuss this ordinance and Ordinance Nos. 94-58 and 94-60 at a committee <br />meeting to be held on Monday, April 11. <br />Mrs. Beringer, Chairperson of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee, <br />reported: 1) The committee met on March 23, and in attendance were commiittee <br />members Nashar, McKay, Beringer; Council Members Limpert, Mural, Bahas; Council <br />President Boehmer; Building Commissioner Conway; Assistant Engineer McDermott. <br />Agenda items were as follows: <br />a. Bennet Dover Home Reiuodelers, 29341 Lorain Road, a proposal to convert the <br />existing building into a sales office including the construction of an add~on to the rear of <br />the building.
