Council Minutes of 3/15/94 <br />r.~. LEGISLATION (continued) <br />Ordinance No. 94-60 was introduced and placed. on first reading by Mrs. Beringer on <br />behalf of Mr. McKay. An ordinance to amend Chapter 909 entitled "Aprons" of the <br />Codified Ordmances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Ordnance No. 94-61 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert. An <br />ordnance to amend Section 911.99 e~xtitled `~'enahy" of Chapter 911 entitled "Sewers <br />Generally" of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Ordinance No. 94-62 was introduced aad placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance amending Sections 139.05, 139.06, and 155.Ob of the Codified Ordinances of <br />the City of North Olmsted, concerning the Parks and Recreation Comimissioner. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mrs. Beringer scheduled a Building, Zoning and Development Committee meeting for <br />7:30 p.m. on March 23. <br />Mr. Musial scheduled a Trffisportaton Committee meeting for 6:30 p.m. on March 23 to <br />discuss Ordinance No. 94-12. Safety Director Gundy and Human Resources Director <br />Copeland are asked to attend. <br />On behalf of Mr. McKay, a Streets and Drainage Committee meeting was scheduled for <br />7 p.m on March 23. <br />Mrs. Beringer moved to excuse the absence of Mr. McKay; second by Mr. Lind; motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Boyle made his report at this time: 1) Representatives from the Cleveland Indians <br />will hold an informational meeting to discuss Gateway at 7 p.m on Wednesday, March 23, <br />at the North Oh~ed Middle School. <br />2) The annual Easter Open House will be held at the Recreation Center on Sunday, March <br />27, from 1 to 4 p.m. Activities include free use of the facilities, an Easter Egg hit in the <br />pool, costumed characters, an animal parade from the Metro Parks and various contests. <br />As in the past, Faroh's and Malley's have donated candy for this event. <br />3) Last week a meeting was held with County Auditor McCormack to discuss real estate <br />reappraisals. The average increase for busanesses and residences next year will be in the <br />mid-teens. That will bring in approximately half a million dollars to the city. <br />4) A meeting was held with Paul Alsenas, Director of the Cuyahoga County Planning <br />Commission, to discuss Community Development Block Grant funds. The city will use <br />these funds to remove handicap barriers within our Recreation facilities. <br />5) A meeting was held with Tim Kastelic of the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission to <br />clear up the. confusion on the proposed zoning of the Sherwin Williams property. The <br />County Planning Coon feels that a massive retail user would not be acceptable on <br />that property; however, service retail is acceptable, especially if it is coupled with offices. <br />6 <br />_, <br />
