Council Minutes of 3/1/94 <br />LEGISLATION (continued) <br />Ordinance No. 94-34 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second readmg. An <br />ordinance authorizing a specification requirement for mirrorhy business enterprise and <br />women business enterprise partica~ation in fiscal year 1994, (20th year), Conte' <br />Development Block Grant Projects of 25°lo for minority bu~ess enterprise and 15% for <br />women business enterprise, and dec an emergency. Mr. McKay rived for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Lind; mntion passed <br />unanimously. Mr. McKay mnved far adoption; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 94-34 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 94-35 introduced by Mrs. Beringer was given its second readffig. An <br />ordinance vacating a portion of a water main easement located on property now owned by <br />Hennie Homes, Inc. and designated as Cinnamon Woods, Phase II, as recorded irr Volume <br />80-0130 Page 32 of Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, and fiuther accepting an <br />easement from Hennie Homes, Inc. for an additional water main easement, and declar~g <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 94-43 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second readung. An ordinance <br />establishing an imprest petty cash fiend within the Recreation Center Complex of the City <br />of North Olmsted, Ohio, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 94-46 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for one (1 }aerial <br />work platform truck, with cab and chasers. <br />Resolution No. 94-47 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise far bids for one {1} 60' <br />aerial lift truck with chipper body to include cab and chassis. <br />Resohrtion No. 94-48 was introduced and placed on first readintg by Mr. McKay. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for and accept bids for <br />the widening and signaiizaton of Butternut Ridge Road by the intersection of Kennedy <br />Ridge Road as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract <br />for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 94-49 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $2,400,000 notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving certain designated streets in the city's <br />street system by grading, draining, curbing, reconstructing the pavement base, widening, <br />preparing the surface and paving, by constructing, reconstructing and rehabilitating water <br />mains, water service connections, sidewalks, driveway aprons, dorm sewers, catch basins, <br />sanitary sewers and sanitary sewer service connections, and by instal~:g underground and <br />above-ground wires and cables for street lighting, all where necessary, together with the <br />necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto, and declaring an err~ergency. Mr. <br />Lind moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mrs. Bahas; <br />motion passed unanimously. Mx. Lind moved for adoption; sec©nd by Mrs. Bahas; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 94-49 adopted. <br />13 <br /> <br />
