Council Minutes of 12/5/95 <br />c. Rini-Rego Supermarket, 23100 Lorain Road, submitted plans to construe an addition. <br />to the front of the store. The plans reflect the standard Rin~Rego look as found at the <br />Great Northern Boulevard store but will have a slightly different cort~guration of the <br />vestibule and will inchuie more brick in place of dryvit. Mr. McKay moved to approve the <br />plans for construction of an addition to the front of the existing and an addition <br />on the northeast corner of the properly with a proper draht for. the compor afld e <br />at the loading docks and relit pickup area medicating the proper truck hours. The <br />motion was seconded by Mr. Naahar and uita~nousty paste. <br />d. Ethan Alin Home Interiors, 28125-27 I.oraitt Road, proposal. to reclttd the existing <br />building. VVimdows and aw~gs w~ be added, and the landscaping vvi~ll improved. The <br />lighting wdl remain the same. This sdte wdl be a showroom only, wig pur~tase being <br />shipped from a warehouse. Mr. McKay moved to improve the plans; the motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Nasiar and sty passed. <br />e. Sandy Ridge Homeowners' A-Beociation, represented by Mrs. Spoerke, presented plans <br />for the installation of three stanc~tt+ctntype non-illuminated gro~td signs for the <br />development. The locations are: Limpert Lame at Dover Center Road; Park Place at <br />Canterbury Road; Chapel I~ Drive at Canterbury Road. All of the locations are on the <br />south side of the intersectton wit the city right-of-way and will rye a c~}t license and <br />liability insurance provided by the hor~wners' associ~an. Mr. McKay moved to <br />approve the signs with the provis~oets that the license and liability ms~aitce are acquired. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Nashar and itnanirnousty approved. <br />f. A request by Scott M~nick, 30993 Lorain Road, to sel! hardscaprg materials m a <br />General Retail Disrtrict. Hardscaping materials. include pi~io ~oaes, bricks and materials <br />other than plant material. The committee had no objections. Mr. McKay moved to <br />approve Mr. Minnick's request. The irrotion was secmtded by Mr. Nashar and <br />unanimously approved. <br />g. Rededication of Hawkins Avenue from the north line of Vincent Drive northerly to the <br />city corporation 1me. The committee had no objections. Legislation wtTl be forthcortring. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked if the committee had discussed the minor change requested by the <br />School Board for the fence that is to be installed behind the new bus garage. It was her <br />understanding that the Plauniitg Cornrmssion turned down this minor charge. The <br />residents are anxious for the fence to be completed, and she believes the plans should be <br />carried out according to what was presented and approved. She would like the Safety <br />Director to urge the Bua'idiitg Comarrissioner to see that the plans as previously approved <br />are carried out. Councilman Nashar said that he had received plaits from the Building <br />Department showing two proposals for this project. Some areas along the festce rift-of- <br />way will have a board on board fence. Along the bus garage, the fence will jet out <br />approximately 25 feet from the fence line, run parallel with the building and back into the <br />fence line abutting the n~hbors' properties. Mrs. Saringer again urged that the Building <br />Commissioner be asked to pursue the plans that were previously approved. <br />y <br />
