a. <br />Council Minutes of 9/5/95 <br />Mr. Nashar addressed Mayor Boyle on a petition signed by residents a~Cing the <br />Metroparks to install a bike path on Bradley Road. Metroparks is installiag the bike path <br />in Westlake and North Olmsted residents would like to see this continued into our city. <br />Mr. Nashar spoke to a representative from Metroparks and presented him with the <br />petitions. Mayor Boyle said that, unless Metroparks had changed th~r policy, they would <br />require the residents on Bradley Road to have sidewalks before the bike path is m~afied. <br />As this city has long had a policy of special assessatts for sidewalks, the Bradley Road <br />residents would have to pay for the installation of sidewalks. Mr. Nashar will pursue this <br />matter with the Metroparks repres~tative. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 95-102 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administrative personnel and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 95-102 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 95-108 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second read~g. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for approximately 50,400 <br />gallons of sodium aluminate for use by the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment <br />Facilities Plant, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 95-109 introduced by Mayor Boyle and the entire Council was given a <br />second reading. A resolution supporting the efforts of the Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association, <br />the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters, the Ohio State Fire Fighters' <br />Association and the North Olmsted Fire Fighters Local 1267, International Association of <br />Fire Fighters, to promote and support continued public sector emergency medical service. <br />Resolution No. 95-110 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. A <br />resolution adopting the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning <br />January 1, 1996, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 95-118 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert. An <br />ordnance to amend Section 917.02 entitled "Limitations on Wastewater Strength" of the <br />Codified Ordmances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Ordinance No. 95-119 was introduced and placed on first readmg by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into <br />an agreement with Western Reserve Engineering & Surveying Company Inc., to provide <br />engineering services for the Ehle Ditch project, and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />6 <br />
