Council Minutes of 8/15/95 <br />interchange being constructed, the interchange wouldn't be there and the resuients would <br />not be facing this problem Mr. Frindt has questioned the county on the molar conditions <br />of Cohunbia Road and Claque Road. He feels that several of the conditions which caused <br />the county to reject the Cahu~ia Road project exist for Claque Road. Mr. Frurdt dui not <br />get a satisfactory response to his questions from the county representatives. Mr. Frindt <br />stated that the residents are worried about losing their homes or large portions of their <br />property which will drastical~ reduce the value of the property. He recently contacted <br />Congressman Hoke's office and was told that a reque~ had been made for utility lines <br />under the new relocated section if it should go thmugh. Mayor Boyle sour that in 1990 he <br />had personally requested all utilities be inked on relocated Claque Road. The Mayor <br />and Mr. Frindt agreed that the Claque Road project would be disruptive to the area and <br />that other alternatives should be made to disperse traffic. <br />Mary Solderitsch, 5682 Allendale Drive, presented petitions to Council from residents of <br />Allendale Drive, Carey Lane, Cohu~ia Road and Butternut Ridge Road regarding sewer <br />problems and basement flooding. <br />Don Ballard, 5660 Allendale Drive, speaking for himself and Mrs. Martin of <br />5712 Allendale lhive, also expressed concern about the floodmg problems in his <br />neighborhood. Mr. Ballard asked if the city could place temporary pumps in this area. <br />Mr. Bohlmann said it might be possr'ble to place pins on Great Northam Boulevard and <br />direct the water to the I-480 storm sewer system However, this would only be a <br />temporary cure. <br />Charlie Obenour, 5770 Columbia Road, said that in 35 years he had water in his basement <br />on only one or two occasions until the apartments were built. He now gets flooded on a <br />regular basis. Anything that can be done would certainly be appreciated. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 95-91 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. A re~lution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the collection of all <br />sludge pickup at the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant, and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Lmd; motion passed unanimously. Resohrttion No. 95-91 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 95-93 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of the Mayor and entire <br />Council was given its second reading. A resolution petitioning the Ohio General <br />Assembly to increase the eligibility ceiling for the Homestead Exemption. Mr. McKay <br />moved for adoption; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion passed unanimously. Resohrtion <br />No. 95-93 adopted. <br /> <br />9 <br />
