Council Minutes of 7/5/95 Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: 1) The committee met on June 26. The committee discussed and had no objection to name change requests for the following three liquor permits: a. Brinker Restaurant Corporation, 25061 Country Club Blvd. to Brinker Ohio, Inc., DBA Chifi's Southwest Grill & Bar, 25061 Country Chub Blvd. Mr. Nashar moved to approve the requested name change; second by Mr, Limpert; motion passed imaously. b. Brinker Restaurant Corporation, 25001 Country Chtb Blvd. to Brinker Ohio, Inc., DBA Romano's Macaroni Cm'1}., 23001 Country Chib Blvd. Mr. Nashar moved to approve the requested name change; second by Mr. Lampert; nmrion passeal you. c. Mr. Nashar moved to approve the adt~ion of two names to the list of ~ockholders for Angad Niwas, Inc., 29352 Lorain Road; second by Mr. Li~ert; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Musial, Chairperson ofthe Trortation Committee: 1) The committee will meet in the near future to review ail of the city vehicles and to map out a strategic plan for purchases. AIJ~IENCE PARTICI~~TION Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane, announced that the next meeting of the Charter Review Commission would be at 7:30 p.m on July 17. Due to personal reasons, ane member of the commission has resigned. Chris Fox, 5321 Whitehaven Avenue, asked if the city could help with the various problems and code violations with his new home. Mr. Boehmer asked Mr. Fox if he had received compensation from the builder, and Mr. Fox said that he had received compensation but did not feel it was sufficient to fix all the problems. Law Director Gareau instructed Council not to discuss this matter because it is in Ihigation. Mr. Fox has filed a lawsuit against the city. The city is vigorously defending it, and Mr. Fox is vigorously pursuing it. Mr. Fox has chosen his fonwi for relief, and rt is not before this Council. Mr. Fox said that another resident was having problems with the same budder and suggested that he come forward and state his case. Jeff Lindeman, 29710 Broxbourne Road, said there were no code violations at his home but he did have an extensive fist of repairs that needed to be completed. Mr. Lindeman said he had been working with the builder, Mr. Simmons, but it was "tough to get him to come out to do anything." Mr. Lindeman expressed concern that Mr. Simu~ons has been allowed to continue building in the city. His one year occupancy is comiag up in September, and he is concerned that the builder will not complete all the repairs before that time. Mr. Nashar asked Mr. Lmdeman to enumerate the problems. Mr. said that all the drywall needs to be remudded, four joists need to be replaced and atrout 20 feet of the concrete drive needs to be replaced.
