Council Minutes of 7/5/95 <br />Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: 1) The <br />committee met on June 26. The committee discussed and had no objection to name <br />change requests for the following three liquor permits: <br />a. Brinker Restaurant Corporation, 25061 Country Club Blvd. to Brinker Ohio, Inc., <br />DBA Chifi's Southwest Grill & Bar, 25061 Country Chub Blvd. Mr. Nashar moved to <br />approve the requested name change; second by Mr, Limpert; motion passed imaously. <br />b. Brinker Restaurant Corporation, 25001 Country Chtb Blvd. to Brinker Ohio, Inc., <br />DBA Romano's Macaroni Cm'1}., 23001 Country Chib Blvd. Mr. Nashar moved to <br />approve the requested name change; second by Mr. Lampert; nmrion passeal you. <br />c. Mr. Nashar moved to approve the adt~ion of two names to the list of ~ockholders for <br />Angad Niwas, Inc., 29352 Lorain Road; second by Mr. Li~ert; motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Musial, Chairperson ofthe Trortation Committee: 1) The committee will meet in <br />the near future to review ail of the city vehicles and to map out a strategic plan for <br />purchases. <br />AIJ~IENCE PARTICI~~TION <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane, announced that the next meeting of the Charter <br />Review Commission would be at 7:30 p.m on July 17. Due to personal reasons, ane <br />member of the commission has resigned. <br />Chris Fox, 5321 Whitehaven Avenue, asked if the city could help with the various <br />problems and code violations with his new home. Mr. Boehmer asked Mr. Fox if he had <br />received compensation from the builder, and Mr. Fox said that he had received <br />compensation but did not feel it was sufficient to fix all the problems. Law Director <br />Gareau instructed Council not to discuss this matter because it is in Ihigation. Mr. Fox <br />has filed a lawsuit against the city. The city is vigorously defending it, and Mr. Fox is <br />vigorously pursuing it. Mr. Fox has chosen his fonwi for relief, and rt is not before this <br />Council. Mr. Fox said that another resident was having problems with the same budder <br />and suggested that he come forward and state his case. <br />Jeff Lindeman, 29710 Broxbourne Road, said there were no code violations at his home <br />but he did have an extensive fist of repairs that needed to be completed. Mr. Lindeman <br />said he had been working with the builder, Mr. Simmons, but it was "tough to get him to <br />come out to do anything." Mr. Lindeman expressed concern that Mr. Simu~ons has been <br />allowed to continue building in the city. His one year occupancy is comiag up in <br />September, and he is concerned that the builder will not complete all the repairs before <br />that time. Mr. Nashar asked Mr. Lmdeman to enumerate the problems. Mr. <br />said that all the drywall needs to be remudded, four joists need to be replaced and atrout <br />20 feet of the concrete drive needs to be replaced.
