Council Minutes of 6/20/95 <br />Ordinance No. 95-92 was introduced and placed on first readmg by Mrs. Saringer. An <br />ordmance granting the Ohio Bell Telephone Company a perpetual right of way and <br />easement within Permanent Parcel No. 232-12-010 owned by the City of North Olmsted, <br />County of Cuyahoga, in order to install, construct, re-construct, operate, maintain, repair <br />supplement and remove a controlled environmental vault to provide additional <br />environmental protection, and declaring an emergency. Mrs. Saringer moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readmgs; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed <br />unanimously. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 95-92 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 95-93 was introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of the Mayor and entire <br />Council. A resolution petitioning the Ohio General Assembly to increase the eligibility <br />ceiling for the Homestead Exemption. <br />Resolution No. 95-94 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Nashar. A <br />resolution declaring Council's opposition to the imposition of a filing fee for the Ohio <br />Ethics Commission financial disclosure statement. Mr. Nas~har moved for suspension of <br />the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Miller; motion passed unanimously. Mr. <br />Nashar moved for adoption; second by Mr. Miller. Roll call: Nashar, yes; Miller, yes; <br />Saringer; yes; Musial, yes; Limpert, no; McKay, yes. Motion passed with five affirmative <br />votes and one negative vote. Resolution No. 95-94 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 95-95 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 94-184 which had authorized the annexation of certain <br />unincorporated territory located in Olmsted Township to the City of North Olmsted, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 95-96 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle on <br />behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution urging the Ohio Legislature to <br />adopt House Joint Resolution (HJR) I2 renewing Issue 2, the State of Ohio Infrastructure <br />Bond Issue. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; <br />second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Resohution No. 95-96 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 95-97 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance ratifying and confirming the purchase of 5 (five) emergency vehicles to be <br />utilized by the North Olmsted Police Department as police cruisers without first <br />advertising for bids, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for suspension of <br />the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Miller; motion passed unanimously. <br />Finance Director Burns noted that this ordinance was necessary because the original <br />contractor who was contracted under the State bid, which we normally go through to buy <br />these cars, defaulted on the contract. Mr. Limpert moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Miller; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 95-97 adopted. <br />5 <br />
