The senior
citizen housing complex will include apartments, assisted living units and a nursing home.
The developers and the owner have agreed to a shared maintenance of the pond. They
have also agreed to consult with Tom Terbrack of NOMBL in order to work out a
suitable arrangement with regard to a bus shelter and bus entrance. Across-easement for
sharing the drive with St. Clarence is needed and will be in hand at the time the building
permit is acquired. An assembly plat is needed. The landscape plan has been approved,
and a board on board fence will be placed at the rear property line 20 feet across the back.
Mrs. Saringer moved to approve with all the recommendations of the Planning
Commission, Architectural Review Board and BZD Committee and noting that the
developer and owner will share in the maintenance of the pond; second by Mr. Nashar;
motion unanimously approved.
b. An easement for Ohio Bell Telephone Company located on Lorain Road near the
Police Station. This is a controlled environmental easement, and the committee had no
objections. The committee
received information about this matter from Buildmg Commissioner Conway and had no
objections to it.
d. An expansion proposal from Child's View at Lauren Hill Plaza. Mr. Conway provided
information on this proposal, and the committee had no objections.
Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: 1) The
committee met on Tuesday, June 6; in attendance were Safety Director Kesler and Council
Members Limpert, McKay, Saringer and Nashar. Presently the
computers provide local information from other suburbs using the CRIS system,
information from the State of Ohio and information from the National Crime Information
Center. The Safety Department will be investigating various ways to increase the
capabilities of the computers, such as providing officers the ability to complete
departmental reports from the vehicles.
Mr. Limpert, Chairperson of the Environmental Control Committee: 1) Met briefly with
committee member Mr. Miller to discuss the feasibility of a city-wide hazardous waste
disposal day. Safety Director Kesler agreed to pass the request on to the administration.
Mr. Miller suggested that this could be worked out in contract negotiations with BFI.
LEGISLATION
Ordinance No. 95-61 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading.
