Council Minutes of 11/6/96 <br />LEGISLATION <br />;; Resolution No. 96-164 introduced by Mr. Nashar on behalf of Mr. McKay was given its <br />third reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for the collection of all refuse in the City of North Olmsted, and authorizing the Mayor to <br />contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second <br />by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 96-164 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-165 introduced by Mr. Nashar on behalf of Mr. McKay was given its <br />third reading. An ordinance to amend Section 917.02 entitled "Limitations on Wastewater <br />Strength" of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio. Mr. McKay <br />moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 96-165 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 96-166 introduced by Mrs. Saringer on behalf of Mr. Lind was given its <br />third reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for 5,000 tons of asphalt and tack coating of city streets, and authorizing the Mayor to <br />contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 96-166 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-167 introduced by Mr. Musial on behalf of Mr. Lind was given its third <br />reading. An ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1996. Mr. <br />Musial moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 96-167 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-159 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the President of Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted for the term of office commencing January 1, 1998 and ending <br />December 31, 2001, and declaring an emergency as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 96-160 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the Ward Council Members of the <br />City of North Olmsted for the term of office commencing January 1, 1998 and ending <br />December 31, 2001, and declaring an emergency as amended. Mr. Musial commented <br />that he had planned to move to amend this ordinance tonight to render the first two years <br />of the Ward Council Member salaries consistent with the last two years of the Council-at- <br />Large salaries. However, in retrospect and in deference to the Finance Committee <br />Chairperson David Lind who is absent and since there is a majority report on this, he will <br />not do so today. <br />Resolution No. 96-171 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to submit and seek financial assistance from the State <br />Issue 2 Infrastructure Bond Program for funding of various municipal capital <br />infrastructure improvements projects, and declaring an emergency. <br />+ <br />11 <br />
