Council Minutes of 8/20/96 amount of $355,000 for the purpose of acquiring and installing computer equipment, including networking hardware and software, personal computer work stations, printers, software and cables, together with the necessary appurtenances thereto. Ordinance No. 96-137 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate principal amount of $260,000 for the purpose of improving the city's storm water drainage system by rehabilitating and improving an existing storm water culvert located under south Barton Road approximately 1,700 feet south of Lorain Road, related underground storm water retention basins and related open storm water drainage ditches and acquiring interests in real estate therefor, together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Ordinance No. 96-138 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate principal amount of $205,000 for the purpose of constructing, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving an addition to the city's Police Station and preparing and improving the site thereof. Ordinance No. 96-139 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate principal amount of $105,00 for the purpose of acquiring and installing computerized telecommunications equipment for use at city facilities. Ordinance No. 96-140 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $150,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and equipping an emergency rescue vehicle for use in carrying out functions of the Division of Fire of the Department of Public Safety, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 96-141 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert on behalf of Mayor Boyle. An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of an amendment to Section 8 of Article VIII of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to revise the limitations on the aggregate amount of taxes that may be levied by this Council without a vote of the people so as to authorize this Council to levy annually for a continuing period of time, beginning in tax year 1999, an additional tax at a rate not exceeding seven-tenths of one mill to provide funds for certain municipal recreational purposes, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously.
