Council Minutes of 8/20/96 <br />amount of $355,000 for the purpose of acquiring and installing computer equipment, <br />including networking hardware and software, personal computer work stations, printers, <br />software and cables, together with the necessary appurtenances thereto. <br />Ordinance No. 96-137 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of $260,000 for the purpose of improving the city's storm water drainage system <br />by rehabilitating and improving an existing storm water culvert located under south Barton <br />Road approximately 1,700 feet south of Lorain Road, related underground storm water <br />retention basins and related open storm water drainage ditches and acquiring interests in <br />real estate therefor, together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental <br />thereto. <br />Ordinance No. 96-138 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of $205,000 for the purpose of constructing, furnishing, equipping and otherwise <br />improving an addition to the city's Police Station and preparing and improving the site <br />thereof. <br />Ordinance No. 96-139 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of $105,00 for the purpose of acquiring and installing computerized <br />telecommunications equipment for use at city facilities. <br />Ordinance No. 96-140 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $150,000 notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and equipping an emergency rescue vehicle <br />for use in carrying out functions of the Division of Fire of the Department of Public <br />Safety, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 96-141 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert on <br />behalf of Mayor Boyle. An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the <br />City of North Olmsted of an amendment to Section 8 of Article VIII of the Charter of the <br />City of North Olmsted to revise the limitations on the aggregate amount of taxes that may <br />be levied by this Council without a vote of the people so as to authorize this Council to <br />levy annually for a continuing period of time, beginning in tax year 1999, an additional tax <br />at a rate not exceeding seven-tenths of one mill to provide funds for certain municipal <br />recreational purposes, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for suspension of <br />the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Lind; motion <br />passed unanimously.
