Special Council Minutes of 5/9/96 <br />Ordinance No. 96-69 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its third reading. An ordinance <br />~- providing for the issuance and sale of $150,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and equipping an emergency rescue vehicle for use in <br />carrying out functions of the Division of Fire of the Department of Public Safety. Mr. <br />Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 96-69 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-70 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its third reading. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of $100,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and installing computerized telecommunications <br />equipment for use at city facilities. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by McKay; <br />motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-70 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-71 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its third reading. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of $30,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and installing signals, signs and other equipment and <br />devices to direct and control the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, where necessary, <br />together with necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Mr. Lind moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Musial; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-71 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-72 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An ordinance <br />requesting and consenting to a highway striping project in 1996 by the County Engineer of <br />Cuyhoga County. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-72 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-73 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $12,000,000 notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the municipal sanitary sewer system by <br />constructing, reconstructing, rehabilitating and replacing sanitary sewers and sanitary <br />sewer connections, constructing a retention basin for a sanitary lift station and improving <br />and equipping the Wastewater Treatment Plant, together with the necessary appurtenances <br />and work incidental thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for suspension <br />of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Lind noted that the fiscal officer's certificates were attached to Ordinance Nos. 96-73 <br />through 96-84. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed. <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-73 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-74 was introduced and placed on first reading Mr. Lind. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of $7,660,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, for the purpose of improving certain designated streets in the city's street system <br />by grading, draining, widening, reconstructing the pavement base, preparing the surface <br />and surfacing and resurfacing, constructing, reconstructing and rehabilitating catch basins, <br />curbs, driveway aprons, manholes, sanitary sewers and sanitary sewer service connections, <br />sidewalks, storm sewers and water mains and water service connections and installing <br />3 <br /> <br />
