Council Minutes of 4/2/96 <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />~W Angelo Skoulis, 24732 Mitchell Drive, president of the Parkwest Homeowners' <br />Association, spoke about the proposed addition to the Seaman's Furniture Store. The <br />store abuts the Parkwest development. Mr. Skoulis noted that at the BZD Committee <br />meeting Mr. Mongello had agreed to add ground cover to the mound landscaping. Mr. <br />Skoulis asked that this be added to the proposal approved by Council. Mr. McKay and <br />Mr. Musial agreed that the ground cover was to be added to the mound landscaping and <br />said that it was now a part of the official record and Mr. Mongello would be bound by the <br />agreement. <br />Doug Sebring, 6250 Wild Oak Drive, assistant superintendent of North Olmsted schools, <br />thanked Mayor Boyle, Safety Director I{asler and P & A Director Wihunosky for their <br />attention to the needs of the students with regard to the negotiations with New Media <br />Communications. This is another example of the good cooperation between the schools <br />and city government. The helpfulness in the Mayor's office and Mrs. Kasler's role in <br />trying to work through the production of communication opportunities for the city's <br />children was appreciated. <br />Mayor Boyle noted that Mr. Sebring donates his time as a member of the city housing <br />review board. He is also grateful for the cooperation between the schools and the city <br />government and noted a good deal of credit should be given to Mr. Sebring. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 96-43 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of Mayor Boyle was given its <br />third reading. A resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor to submit and seek <br />financial assistance from the Ohio EPA for funding for the Georgette Avenue sanitary and <br />storm sewer improvement project, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 96-43 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-44 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into <br />an agreement with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. to provide engineering services pertaining to the <br />development of a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant and sanitary sewer system as required by the Ohio EPA, and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Naar; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-44 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 96-45 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into <br />an agreement with Western Reserve Engineering & Surveying Company, Inc. to provide <br />construction observation services for various 1996 capital improvements projects, and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 96-45 adopted. <br />6 <br /> <br />
