Ordinance 96-41, which authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Dennis <br />Seifert & Associates to provide engineer7ug services for the drainage improvements in the <br />Woodside-Deepwoods-Duane Road area. The cost will be $13,20 The committees <br />recommend approval. <br />Mr. Lind, Chairperson of the Finance Committee: l) 7~ie Finance Comnuttee met jointly <br />with the Streets & Drainage Committee on February 1 ~. Present were Council Members <br />Nashar, Limpert, Musial and Lind; Finance Director Bugs; Service Director Bohlmaun; <br />City Engineer Deichmann; Personnel & Administrative Director Wilamosky. The <br />committees discussed Ordinance Nos. 96-26 and 96-27 which de~~l with the costs of <br />inspections for public utility work done in the city. The hourly rates will be increased and <br />charges will be made for overtime work on the weekends. The co~mnittees recommend <br />approval. <br />2) The same evening the Finance Committee rnet jointly with the St+~e~~ts & Drainage and <br />Environmental Control Committees. The attendees were the same a~. previously stated. <br />The committees discussed the following: <br />a. Ordinance 96-23, which is t:he analysis of manholes located ~h~~oughout the city. <br />Western Reserve Engineerin~~ Company was the lowest bidder for t ire contract. Due to <br />the age of the manholes, leala are occur-~ing and causing infiltration which in turn causes <br />massive backups ui the sewer system. The committees recornrrrend approval. <br />b. Ordinance 96-24_ which authorized the Service Director to adv~, rose for bids for the <br />improvements to Bretton Ridge. Phase Ill. The preluninary en~_ir~ering estimate is <br />approximately $700,000 for completion of the project. The project has not yet been <br />funded and is contingent upon the approval of the capital spendin~~ budget for the Heart <br />two years. The committees did recommend approval. <br />c. Ordinance 96-32, which provided for- engineering services for the analysis of the <br />flooding problems in the Forest Ridge-North Park area. using Dr. ~ -e~root's study as a <br />starting point. Wester7r Reserve Engineering Company was the 1«west bidder for the <br />contract. Their bid included four different alternatives and cost estiim~tes for each.
