Council Minutes of 2/6/96 Mrs. Saringer, Chairperson of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee: 1) The committee met jointly with the Finance Committee on January 22. In attendance were Council Members Limpert, Musial, Nashar, O'Grady and Saringer; Service Director Bohlmann; City Engineer Deichmann; Assistant Engineer Griffith. The discussion of Ordinance 96-3 was continued since there were questions still unanswered from the previous meeting. One concern dealt with the inclusion in the contract of a section calling for the reimbursement for transportation and lodging. The company has agreed to delete this section. The committee voted to recommend approval as long as this section was removed from the contract. 2) The Recreation Committee is invited to attend the March 13 meeting of the Recreation Commission at 7 p.m, at the Rec Center. Mr. Nashar, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: 1) The committee met this evening to discuss a liquor permit. The permit for the former Chester's Restaurant, which was located at 4949 Great Northern Boulevard, will be put into safekeeping and relocated to 25915 Great Northern Boulevard. The committee had no objections. Mr. Nashar moved that Council have no objection to the placement of the liquor permit in safekeeping; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Limpert, Chairperson of the Transportation Committee: 1) The committee met on January 22. In attendance were committee members O'Grady, Saringer and Limpert; Council Members Nashar, McKay and Musial; Service Director Bohlmann; City Engineer Deichmann; Assistant Engineer Crriffith. The following items were discussed: a. Ordinance 96-16, amending the traffic control file to provide for a traffic light at Brookpark Road and Great Northern Shopping Center and the Stark parcel to the north. The light has already been installed, and the committee recommended approval. b. Ordinance 96-17, amending the traffic control file to provide for a traffic light on Lorain Road at the Toys R Us drive. The light has akeady been installed, and the committee recommended approval. c. Ordinance 96-18, amending the traffic control file to provide for a traffic light at Country Club Boulevard and Victoria Lane. The light has akeady been installed, and the committee recommended approval. d. Ordinance 96-20, amending the traffic control file to provide for a traffic light at Brookpark Road and the Wal-Mart drive. The light has already been installed, and the committee recommended approval. e. Ordinance 96-15, amending the traffic control file to provide for signs denoting the truck route in and out of the Wal-Mart drives. The committee recommended approval. f. Ordinance 96-19, amending the traffic control file to provide for the installation of a traffic light at the intersection of Walter Road and Lorain Road. The committee recommended approval.
