Since 18 feet is generally <br />„, considered the minimum roadway width in residential areas for allowing parking on one <br />side of the street, they recommended that the current parking arrangement be continued. <br />LETTERS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br />The Clerk read the following letter regarding the Parcel E initiative petition: "We, the <br />undersigned, qualified electors of the City of North Olmsted, do hereby request that the <br />petitions relating to the above matter be submitted to the voters and delivered to the <br />Board of Elections on Wednesday, August 20, 1997. Respectfully submitted, Bonnie <br />Walters, James Walters, Elaine Hollo" Law Director Gareau said that he was requesting <br />that Council, during the Miscellaneous Business portion of the meeting, present a motion <br />that the Clerk of Council be directed to forward to the Board of Elections the proposal <br />that was instituted in the initiative for purposes of having the same placed on the ballot. <br />That would then betaken to the Board of Elections for further processing. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 97-60 introduced by Mr. Musial was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing accepting for recording purpose only the Vienna Woods Subdivision No. 4 <br />plat in the City of North Olmsted. Mr. Musial moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />McKay; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 97-60 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 97-61 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for improvements in the <br />fuel system at the Service Garage, Bus Garage and Springvale Golf Course area as <br />detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; <br />motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 97-61 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 97-62 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the director of Public Service to advertise for bids directly or jointly with <br />Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority for removing existing underground storage <br />tanks at the Police Station, at Springvale Golf Course and at the LeBern Lift Station and <br />installing a new aboveground storage tank at Springvale Golf Course and at LeBern Lift <br />Station as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for <br />the same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 97-62 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 97-64 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement <br />with Polytech, Inc. to provide engineering services for the design of the enclosure of the <br />wet well at the Dover Lift Station, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-64 <br />"` adopted. <br />:~ <br />6 <br /> <br />
