Council Minutes of 8/5/97 <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 97-54 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of the Mayor and entire <br />Council was given its third reading. A resolution opposing the proposed funding cuts by <br />the Federal government in airport noise mitigation grants, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 97-54 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 97-24 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to replace or install signs on various <br />streets welcoming people to the City of North Olmsted, without public bidding and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved to table; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-24 was tabled. <br />Ordinance No. 97-57 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 1135.02 of the Zoning Code entitled "Accessory Uses and <br />Buildings" of Chapter 1135 entitled "One and Two Family Residence District." <br />Ordinance No. 97-59 introduced by Mrs. Saringer on behalf of Mayor Boyle was given its <br />second reading. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to advertise for <br />bids for the purchase of playground equipment, and related ground cover and landscaping <br />for a designated area of North Otmsted's Clague Park, and declaring an emergency. Mrs. <br />Saringer moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. <br />O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-59 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 97-60 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing accepting for recording purpose only the Vienna Woods <br />Subdivision No. 4 plat in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Resolution No. 97-61 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />improvements in the fuel system at the Service Garage, Bus Garage and Springvale Golf <br />Course area as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract <br />for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 97-62 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids directly or <br />jointly with Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority for removing existing <br />underground storage tanks at the Police Station, at Springvale Golf Course and at the <br />LeBern Lift Station and installing a new aboveground storage tank at Springvale Golf <br />Course and at LeBern Lift Station as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />7 <br />
