Council Minutes of 5/20/97 <br />Nashar said he wanted to pay tribute to Kathleen Yates who had attended the event to <br />watch her two sons participate in the baseball games. Mrs. Yates passed away suddenly <br />last weekend. Mr. Hoyer said that the League planned to schedule afund-raising event to <br />help the two young men. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 97-28 introduced by Mr. Limpert was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending the traffic control file of the City of North Olmsted to provide for the <br />installation of a traffic signal system at the intersection of Dover Center Road and Mill <br />Road and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Lind; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-28 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 97-29 introduced by Mr. Limpert was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending the traffic control file of the City of North Olmsted to provide for the <br />installation of a traffic signal system at the intersection of Porter Road and Mill Road and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-29 adopted. Mr. Limpert commented that the <br />administration had promised that this particular traffic light would be put on flasher and <br />not put into complete operation except for the hours in which it is deemed necessary. <br />Ordinance No. 97-34 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of Mayor Boyle was given its <br />third reading. An ordinance to establish within the Special Revenue Fund Group a <br />"Hotel/Motel Tax Fund" of the City of North Olmsted for receipt of hotel motel tax <br />monies and related expenditures for safety equipment and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 97-34 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 97-35 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for 8,000 tons of salt, and <br />authorizing the Mayor to contract for same. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />McKay; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 97-35 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 97-45 introduced by Mr. Limpert was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending the traffic control file of the City of North Olmsted to provide for the <br />installation of a "No Right Turn on Red" sign at Lorain and Brookpark Roads regulating <br />traffic traveling in a northeasterly direction on Lorain Road and turning in an easterly <br />direction on Brookpark Road and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 97-46 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of Mr. Lind was given its <br />second reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for <br />one (1) wheel mounted trencher for use in the Service Department, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />
