Council Minutes of 2/18/97 <br />Resolution No. 96-187 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its second reading. A <br />`" resolution opposing the State of Ohio being selected as the receiver of hazardous <br />~4 <br />radioactive nuclear waste ftom six midwestern states and declaring an emergency as <br />amended. Mrs. Saringer moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second <br />by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption; second <br />by Mr. O'Grady. Roll call: Saringer, yes; O'Grady, yes; Nashar, yes; Musial, yes; <br />McKay, yes; Lind, yes; Limpert, no. The motion passed with six affirmative votes and one <br />negative vote. Resolution No. 96-187 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 97-8 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into <br />an agreement with Western Reserve Engineering & Surveying Company Inc., to provide <br />construction observation services for various 1997 capital improvement projects, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 97-11 introduced by Mr. McKay and Mr. Nashar was given its second <br />reading. A resolution requesting the Ohio Department of Transportation to improve <br />Lorain Road, State Route 10, from the west corporation line to the east corporation line <br />by resurfacing and curb repair, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 97-12 introduced by Mr. O'Grady and Mr. Limpert was given its second <br />reading. A resolution calling upon the Ohio Department of Transportation and the <br />Cuyahoga County Engineer to maintain the current schedule for the Crocker-Stearns <br />extension due to the importance of this project for the people of North Olmsted and <br />declaring an emergency as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 97-14 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert. An <br />ordinance accepting a traffic control equipment easement located on property owned by <br />Service Station Holdings, Inc. and designated as Permanent Parcel No. 234-20-07 by <br />Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, said easement shown on Exhibit "A" and as <br />described on Exhibit "B" and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 97-15 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into <br />an agreement with Polytech Inc., to provide engineering services for two structural steel <br />platforms at the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant, and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />14 <br />~,E~.~ ,.~.... ... <br />emu,,, v,.~ <br />I <br />
