Council Minutes of 11/17/98
Councilman Miller, he experimented with putting up signs in Mr. Miller's development
telling the residents when leaves would be picked up. (A notice which provides the
scheduled pick-up dates is always mailed city-wide.) The development signs seemed to
work well and the practice will probably be extended next year.
2) Toe Bouman, 23950 Gessner Road, said the leaf problem happened last year also.
There was a late leaf fall, and the same contractor made quick passes as early as possible.
There was no pick-up on Gessner. He questions whether the city is using the right
contractor. Mr. Bohlmann said there is no way to predict when the leaves are going to
fall. On the matter of the contractor, we went out to public bid and there is no way that
the city could do the work for the cost of having it done by a contractor.
LEGISLATION
Ordinance No. 97-89 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its third reading.
