Council Minutes of 8/4/98 <br />Ordinance No. 98-88 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady. An <br />_~ ordinance creating new and revised Section 949.03 of Chapter 949 of the Codified <br />Ordinances, entitled "Trees and Weeds," in order to more clearly identify the obligations <br />of property owners to maintain their lawns, trees and shrubbery in a trimmed condition, <br />and to control the growth of noxious and poisonous weeds, and vines, in the city, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 98-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by providing for <br />the installation of "No Parking" signs on the south side of MacBeth Avenue beginning at <br />Clague Road and continuing to the Fairview Park city line, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mrs. Saringer made the following committee assignments: Ordinances 98-72, 98-80, <br />98-87 to Finance Committee; Ordinance 98-81 to Building Zoning and Development <br />Committee; Ordinance 98-82 and 98-88 to Streets & Drainage; Ordinance 98-83 to Parks <br />& Recreation, Public Buildings; Ordinance 98-85 to the Legislative Committee; Ordinance <br />98-89 to Safety Committee. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Streets & Drainage Committee meeting for Monday, August 10, <br />at 6 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 98-82, 98-88 and also some miscellaneous drainage. Mr. <br />Bohlmann is asked to attend. <br />President Saringer announced that a Council Committee-as-a-Whole meeting would be <br />held on August 11 at 6:30 with regard to hospitalization. The Personnel & Administrative <br />Director is asked to attend. <br />Mrs. Kasler announced that the Recreation Committee would meet at 5:30 p.m. on <br />August 11 with regard to the final update on the ice rink roof and Ordinance 98-83. The <br />Service Director is asked to attend. <br />Mr. Nashar scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting for <br />August 10 to discuss Ordinance 98-89. The meeting will be held immediately following <br />the Finance Committee. The Safety Director is asked to attend. <br />Mr. Limpert scheduled a Legislative, Long-Range Planning Committee meeting for <br />August 11 at 6 p.m. to discuss CDBG grant citizen participation and Ordinance 98-85. <br />Human Resources Director Copeland and Mayor Musial are asked to attend. <br />Mayor Musial asked Mr. Limpert to interview Mr. Craig Allan for an appointment to the <br />Architectural Review Board. Mr. Limpert agreed to do so at his committee meeting on <br />August 11. <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />
