Council Minutes of 5/6/98 <br />,,;.. LEGISLATION <br />,~,>, Resolution No. 98-28 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for improvements in the <br />storm drainage system in the Brookpark Road and Mastick Road area as detailed in the <br />plans and specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 98-28 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 98-30 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for construction of catch <br />basin, manhole, sidewalk, curbing and pavement repairs at various locations in the City of <br />North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to <br />contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 98-30 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 98-31 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />approximately 8,000 tons of salt, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same. Mr. <br />O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 98-31 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 98-32 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 98-32 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 98-33 introduced by Mr. Gareau was given its third reading. A resolution <br />authorizing accepting for recording purpose only the Catherine Bennett Lot Split & <br />Consolidation Plat in the City of North Olmsted and declaring an emergency. Mr. Gareau <br />moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 98-33 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 98-35 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance creating new Section 505.14 of Chapter 505 of the General Offenses Codes <br />entitled "Animals & Fowl" to provide locally for the "Lawful Costs" which may be <br />charged by the city to owners, keepers and harborers of animals impounded pursuant to <br />Section 505.02 of the same Chapter, and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved <br />for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar. Roll call: O'Grady, yes; Nashar, yes; Miller, no; <br />McKay, yes; Limpert, yes with explanation. This ordinance is to codify what has been <br />carried on in the past as a procedure for the city. Based on that, he is voting yes. Roll call <br />continued: Kasler, yes; Gareau, yes. The motion passed with six affirmative votes and <br />one negative vote. Ordinance No. 98-35 adopted. <br />`5 <br />9 <br /> <br />
