Council Minutes of 1/19/99 <br />Ordinance No. 99-1 introduced by Mr. Gareau was given its second reading. An <br />,~ ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1309 of the Building Code of the City of <br />North Olmsted and declaring an emergency. Mr. Gareau moved for suspension of the <br />rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Mr. <br />Gareau moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 99-1 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 99-2 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted Fire <br />Fighters Local 1267, I.A.F.F., which agreement is the collective bargaining agreement <br />between the city and the North Olmsted Fire Department and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. <br />Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 99-2 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 99-3 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted, conditioned <br />upon the approval of the Director of the Ohio Department of Transportation, so as to <br />provide for a uniform speed limit of 35 miles per hour on all portions of Lorain Road <br />located within the City of North Olmsted as amended. <br />Ordinance 99-4 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing Don Copeland, Director of the Department of Human <br />Resources, to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Community <br />Development Block Grant Funds for the fiscal year 1999 for multiple projects titled <br />Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance for the City of North Olmsted's Springvale <br />Ballroom, West 230a' Street and sewer improvements, West 232°d Street and sewer <br />improvements, and declaring an emergency. The ordinance was assigned to the <br />Legislative Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 99-5 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert. An <br />ordinance authorizing a specification requirement for Minority Business Enterprise <br />(M.B.E.) and Women Business Enterprise (W.B.E.) participation in fiscal year 1999 <br />Community Development Block Grant projects of 15% for M.B.E. and 5% for W.B.E., <br />and declaring an emergency. The ordinance was assigned to the Legislative Committee. <br />Resolution No. 99-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for one (1) <br />vacuum street sweeper, and declaring an emergency.
