Council Minutes of 1/19/99 Ordinance No. 99-1 introduced by Mr. Gareau was given its second reading. An ,~ ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1309 of the Building Code of the City of North Olmsted and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 99-1 adopted. Ordinance No. 99-2 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted Fire Fighters Local 1267, I.A.F.F., which agreement is the collective bargaining agreement between the city and the North Olmsted Fire Department and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. An ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted, conditioned upon the approval of the Director of the Ohio Department of Transportation, so as to provide for a uniform speed limit of 35 miles per hour on all portions of Lorain Road located within the City of North Olmsted as amended. Ordinance 99-4 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert. An ordinance authorizing and directing Don Copeland, Director of the Department of Human Resources, to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Community Development Block Grant Funds for the fiscal year 1999 for multiple projects titled Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance for the City of North Olmsted's Springvale Ballroom, West 230a' Street and sewer improvements, West 232°d Street and sewer improvements, and declaring an emergency. The ordinance was assigned to the Legislative Committee. Ordinance No. 99-5 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Limpert. An ordinance authorizing a specification requirement for Minority Business Enterprise (M.B.E.) and Women Business Enterprise (W.B.E.) participation in fiscal year 1999 Community Development Block Grant projects of 15% for M.B.E. and 5% for W.B.E., and declaring an emergency. The ordinance was assigned to the Legislative Committee. Resolution No. 99-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial.
