Council Minutes of 9/19/2000 <br />~~ LEGISLATION <br />~..~~ Resolution No. 2000-103 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution declaring it necessary to repair sidewalks at the following residential properties <br />located in the City of North Olmsted: Charles Road (Nos. 6507, 6523, 6603, 6635, 6652, <br />6684, 6700, 6715, 6747) and Georgette Avenue (Nos. 4404, 4626), and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-104 introduced by Mr. O'Grady on behalf of Mr. Gareau was given <br />its second reading. An ordinance accepting a sanitary sewer easement located on <br />property owned by Edward A. and Elaine M. Yakamavage and designated as Permanent <br />Parcel No. 232-14-087 Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, said easement shown on <br />Exhibit "C" and declaring an emergency. Mr. Gareau moved for suspension of the rule <br />requiring three readings; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Mr. <br />Gareau moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-104 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2000-105 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the wyeing <br />of sanitary sewer manholes on Blossom Boulevard and storm sewer improvements on <br />MacKenzie Road as detailed in the plans and specifications on file and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for <br />suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed <br />unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2000-105 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-107 introduced by Mrs. Kasler was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing Don Copeland, Director of the Department of Human <br />Resources, to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the fiscal year 2001 for multiple projects titled <br />sidewalk curb cuts for disabled persons and older persons, Americans with Disabilities <br />Act improvements at the North Olmsted Recreation complex, and water main <br />improvements for Summerland Avenue, Virginia Avenue, MacBeth Avenue and Esther <br />Avenue and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-108 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement <br />with Polytech, Inc. to provide engineering services for the design of intersection <br />improvements at Clague Road and Lorain Road and declaring an emergency. Mr. Gareau <br />moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Mr. Limpert; <br />motion passed unanimously.
