Council Minutes of 7/18/2000 issue to the voters. That is a separate issue at this point. As far as what is going to ~~~ happen in the future with that property, (to what extent we are going to develop it; how much of the land is going to be used by the library; how we are going to use that land) that is something for which she and several others are requesting a plan. She thinks all of Council wants to see the layout and where it's going to go. At that point in time, she is going to additionally request that Landmarks be involved in those discussions. She believes everyone would benefit from that input. Hopefully, this will move along at the appropriate time when plans are presented. • Mayor Musial said it is the intent of the administration to involve both Council and the Landmarks Commission in this activity. It's necessary in order to have this type of project be successful to have everybody working as a team to make sure that we are all in agreement with what we are going to try to accomplish. Donna Myers, manager of the North Olmsted branch library • Responded to the comments regarding the recent rearrangement of the North Olmsted branch library that this work was done to make a more efficient use of a very small space. She addressed the Council a year ago and explained that the library could not efficiently use its space to fit all its materials and the new technology. Also, no improvements had been made to the library since 1986. The improvements were bid by the library system. These improvements and facelift were done as a matter of normal maintenance by the Cuyahoga County Library system and to meet ADA requirements. There are 28 branches in the Cuyahoga County Library system, and many have received full-blown renovations. This was a temporary measure to try to make the North Olmsted library more accessible and useful. Anything that has been put into our branch can be used in a new building, and this is a city owned building so the city will be the beneficiary of these recent improvements. LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 2000-72 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for installation of an event lighting system for the ice rink at the North Olmsted Recreation Center in the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-72 adopted. Resolution No. 2000-73 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading.
