Council Minutes of 3/21/2000 <br />Ordinance No. 2000-14 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An <br />,~. <br />ordinance establishing the compensation and benefits to be paid to all part-time hourly <br />employees employed by the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-14 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-15 introduced by Mr. Miller was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for <br />the installation of a "No Turn on Red" (R-23-24) sign with a supplementary legend "7 <br />a.m. to 8 p.m." at the intersection of Mill Road and Dover Center Road for traffic <br />traveling in an easterly direction on Mill Road and turning south onto Dover Center Road <br />and declaring an emergency as amended. Mr. Miller moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />McKay. Roll call: Miller, yes; McKay, yes; Gareau, yes; Limpert, yes; Nashar, yes; <br />O'Grady, yes, with comment that the Traffic Engineer has said this is going to be a <br />solution to a problem on Dover. He is hopeful that it will not be the creation of a <br />problem on Mill Road. He knows that Council, as elected representatives of the city, will <br />keep an eye on this and see if it's doing the good things it's supposed to do without <br />causing problems. The motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-15 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-16 introduced by Mayor Musial. An ordinance authorizing the <br />Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a lease with Northern Ohio <br />Interconnect, Inc., for the purpose of extending for eight months the present lease of this <br />tenant at the Recreation Center complex used in connection with the Cablevision Cable <br />Television franchise, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-16 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2000-17 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for sidewalk <br />and accessory improvements in Brookpark road as detailed in the plans and specifications <br />on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2000-17 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2000-19 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for HVAC <br />improvements at the North Olmsted Police Station as detailed in the plans and <br />specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring <br />an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; <br />second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2000-19 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2000-ZO introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />collection and disposal of all sludge generated by the North Olmsted Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />9 <br />
