Council Minutes of 3/8/2000 <br />Ordinance No. 2000-16 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />~~. ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a lease with <br />Northern Ohio Interconnect, Inc., for the purpose of extending for eight months the <br />present lease of this tenant at the Recreation Center complex used in connection with the <br />Cablevision Cable Television franchise, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-17 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for sidewalk <br />and accessory improvements in Brookpark Road as detailed in the plans and <br />specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-18 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Gareau. An <br />ordinance vacating a portion of Northern Avenue located in the City of North Olmsted, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-19 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for HVAC <br />improvements at the North Olmsted Police Station as detailed in the plans and <br />specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-20 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />collection and disposal of all sludge generated by the North Olmsted Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-22 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance amending Ordinance No. 93-21 which authorized the Mayor of the City of <br />North Olmsted to participate in the Ohio Department of Transportation's Cooperative <br />Purchasing Program, and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of <br />the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Gareau; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-22 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-23 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Gareau. An <br />ordinance creating new Chapter 719 of the Business Regulation Code of the City of <br />North Olmsted, entitled "Home and Garage Sales," for the purpose of regulating garage <br />sales, and other similar sales in residential neighborhoods, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-24 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Gareau. An <br />ordinance creating new Chapter 111 of the Administrative Code of the City of North <br />Olmsted, entitled "City Contracts" in order to provide additional regulations and <br />standards regarding city contracts, and declaring an emergency. <br />~. <br />-~~~ <br />10 <br />
