Council Minutes of 1/4/2000 <br />Ordinance No. 2000-1 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to make emergency purchases of <br />~. <br />road salt to supplement the existing contract for the purchase of road salt for use on city <br />streets, without public bidding, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved to <br />suspend the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Limpert; <br />motion passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; <br />motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-1 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-2 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance to transfer funds from the Bus Fund to the General Fund in the amount of <br />$32,411 for materials and parts reimbursement funds received from the Greater <br />Cleveland Regional Transit Authority in the 1997 and 1998 annual audits of the North <br />Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, in which these materials and parts were owned by the City <br />of North Olmsted. <br />Resolution No. 2000-3 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for pavement <br />markings of streets at various locations in the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the <br />specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-4 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for construction <br />of catch basin, manhole, sidewalk, curbing and pavement repairs at various locations in <br />the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-5 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for construction <br />of street lighting at various locations in the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the <br />specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />President Saringer made the following committee assignments: Ordinance 2000-2 to the <br />Transportation and Finance Committees; Resolution 2000-3 to the Streets & Drainage <br />and Finance Committees; Resolution 2000-4 to the Streets & Drainage and Finance <br />Committees; Resolution 2000-5 to Public Safety and Finance Committees. <br />President Saringer repeated her request that Council consider beginning committee <br />meetings a little later (not during the dinner hour) so that it is more convenient for <br />residents to attend the meetings. <br />,~~s <br /> <br />10 <br />
