Mr. Dailey brought up the <br />point of whether or not access to websites should be allowed. After lengthy <br />discussions and input from Assistant Law Director Dubelko and the Mayor, the <br />committee decided to hold the legislation for further review. A committee meeting <br />and a special Council meeting will be held on July 24 to address this legislation. <br />• Beverle Martindale was interviewed for a position on the Cultural Arts Commission. <br />Mrs. Martindale has several ideas on the Cultural Arts Center, including the education <br />of children. She is an experienced artist, a former teacher and has a professional <br />acting company. She also has experience with funding of the arts. The committee <br />unanimously recommended approval of Mrs. Martindale's appointmern to the <br />Cultural Arts Commission. Mrs. Kesler made a motion to approve Beverle <br />Martindale's appointment to the Cuhural Arts Commission. The motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Miller and passed unanimously. <br />• Bonnie App was irnerviewed for a position on the Cultural Arts Commission. Mrs. <br />App is a strong supporter of the arts and her background as a graphic designer gives <br />her a different perspective on this venture. She has experience in marketing and <br />advertising, and she is excited to be a part of something that will bring the people of <br />the city together. The committee unanimously recommended approval of Mrs. App's <br />appoirnment to the Cultural Arts Commission. Mrs. Kesler made a motion to approve <br />Bonnie App's appointmern to the Cultural Arts Commission. The motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Miller and passed unanimously. <br />• Lawel Beach was interviewed for a position on the Cultural Arts Commission. Mrs. <br />Beach is interested in student involvement in the arts and has several ideas about <br />creative ways to seek promotions of programs and cuhural arts in North Olmsted. <br />The committee unanimously recommended approval of Mrs. Beach's appoirnment to <br />the Cultural Arts Commission. Mrs. Kesler made a motion to approve Laurel Beach <br />to the Cultural Arts Commission. The motion was seconded by Mr. Nashaz and <br />passed unanimously. <br />Councilman O'Grady, chairperson of the Public Safety, Health & Welfaze Committee: 1) <br />The committee met on July 10. Present were committee members O'Grady, Limpert and <br />Kesler; Council President Saringer and Council members McKay, Dailey, Nashar and <br />Miller; Mayor Musial, Recreation Commissioner Morgan, Assistarn Hurnan Resources <br />Director Allegra and Traffic Engineer Griffith. Agenda items were as follows: <br />• Ordinance 2001-86, which amends the Traffic Control File to provide location <br />flexibility and language clarity of the two "No Parking, Stopping or Standing" signs <br />on the south side of Sweetbriaz in the azea of Pine Elementary School's crosswalk. <br />Minor editorial changes were proposed for this ordinance, and those changes have <br />been incorporated into the latest version. No other changes were recommended, and <br />the committee unanimously recommended passage under suspension of the rules. <br />• Ordinance 2001-87, which amends the Traffic Control File to provide a time limited <br />and extended obstruction free zone in the vicinity of Pine Elementary School's <br />crosswalk on the south side of Sweetbrier Drive.
