Council Minutes of 6/19/2001 <br />,~. Ordinance No. 2001-75 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />_*.~ ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Patrolmen's <br />Benevolent Association, which agreement is the collective bazgaining agreement between <br />the city and the North Olmsted Emergency Central Dispatchers, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rule requiring three <br />readings; second by Councilman O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Councilman <br />McKay moved for adoption; second by Councilman Limpert; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2001-75 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2001-76 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution urging Ohio's Congressional Delegation to take the necessary action to <br />enhance NASA Glenn Research Center's role in NASA's Aeronautics and Space Policy <br />and increase Glenn Research Center's presence in the State of Ohio and declaring an <br />emergency as amended. Councilwoman Kasler moved for suspension of the rule <br />requiring three readings; second by Councilman Miller; motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilwoman Kasler moved for adoption; second by Councilman Miller; motion passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2001-76 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2001-?7 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance creating a new Section 915.20 of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services <br />Code, in order to provide authorized payment methods regarding the collection of <br />nonbilled sewer user charges, and declaring an emergency as amended. <br />Resolution No. 2001-?8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Limpert. A resolution saluting Mr. John Ryan, resident of Ward I, and the AFL-CIO for <br />their leadership on the May 2001 Cleveland School Levy. (President Saringer assigned <br />the legislation to the Legislative Committee.) <br />Ordinance No. 2001-?9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement <br />with Wade-Trim/Ohio, Inc. to provide design services for the Lessner Road and Florence <br />Avenue storm sewer replacement and declaring an emergency. (President Saringer <br />assigned the legislation to the Streets & Drainage Committee.) <br />Resolution No. 2001-80 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />O'Grady on behalf of himself, Councilman Dailey and Mayor Musial. A resolution <br />urging President George W. Bush and the United States Congess to take emergency <br />actions and enact measures to respond to the crisis facing the domestic steel industry, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three reading and committee review; second by Councilman Limpert; motion <br />passed unanimously.
