Council Minutes of 6/19/2001 ,~. Ordinance No. 2001-75 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An _*.~ ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, which agreement is the collective bazgaining agreement between the city and the North Olmsted Emergency Central Dispatchers, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Councilman O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved for adoption; second by Councilman Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2001-75 adopted. Resolution No. 2001-76 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A resolution urging Ohio's Congressional Delegation to take the necessary action to enhance NASA Glenn Research Center's role in NASA's Aeronautics and Space Policy and increase Glenn Research Center's presence in the State of Ohio and declaring an emergency as amended. Councilwoman Kasler moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings; second by Councilman Miller; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2001-?7 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance creating a new Section 915.20 of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code, in order to provide authorized payment methods regarding the collection of nonbilled sewer user charges, and declaring an emergency as amended. Resolution No. 2001-?8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Limpert. A resolution saluting Mr. John Ryan, resident of Ward I, and the AFL-CIO for their leadership on the May 2001 Cleveland School Levy. (President Saringer assigned the legislation to the Legislative Committee.) Ordinance No. 2001-?9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement with Wade-Trim/Ohio, Inc. to provide design services for the Lessner Road and Florence Avenue storm sewer replacement and declaring an emergency. (President Saringer assigned the legislation to the Streets & Drainage Committee.) Resolution No. 2001-80 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman O'Grady on behalf of himself, Councilman Dailey and Mayor Musial. A resolution urging President George W. Bush and the United States Congess to take emergency actions and enact measures to respond to the crisis facing the domestic steel industry, and declaring an emergency. Councilman O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules requiring three reading and committee review; second by Councilman Limpert; motion passed unanimously.
