Council Minutes 3/6/2001 ~,,,~ MLSCELLANEOUS BUSINESS ~,,, President Saringer asked that the Public Safety Committee take Ordinance 2041-40 back into committee and try to come to a satisfactory conclusion for the safety of the children. Other committee assignments are as follows: Ordinances 2001-22, 2001-33 through 2001-39, Resolutions 2001-25 and 2001-26 to Finance; Resolution 2001-23 to Finance and Environmental; Resolution 2001-24, to Public Safety; Resolution 2001-31 to Legislative; Resolution 2001-32 to Transportation. President Saringer reminded Council that the public hearing on Ordinance 2000-13 will be held at 7 p.m on Apri123. Councilwoman Kasler scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation; Long-Range Planning Committee for 6:15 p.m. on March 12 to discuss Ordinance 2001-31. Councilman O'Grady scheduled a meeting of the Safety Committee with regard to Resolution 2001-24 and Ordinance 2001-40 on March 12 at 6:30 p.m. The Service and Safety Directors and Engineer Griffith are asked to attend. Councilman Nashar scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 6 p.m, on March 13 to discuss Planning Commission items. The City Engineer and Building Commissioner are asked to attend. Councilman Dailey scheduled a Transportation Committee meeting for March 12, immediately following the Safety Committee meeting, to discuss Resolution 2001-32. Councilman McKay scheduled the following Finance Committee meetings: • Monday, March 12, at 7 p.m to discuss appropriations for the Human Resources and Recreation Departments. Mr. Copeland and Todd Morgan are asked to attend. • Tuesday, March 13, at 7 p.m to discuss appropriations for the Safety Department including the Building Department, the Law Department, the Finance Department, the Mayor's departments and Gity Council. All related directors are asked to attend. • Wednesday, March 14, at 7 p.m to discuss appropriations for the Service Department including the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Public Works and NOMBL. Mr. Bohlmann, Tom Terbrack from NOMBL and Bob Nichols from WWTP are asked to attend. • Monday, March 19, at 6 p.m. the committee will meet to discuss the ordinances which were assigned to it. • Monday, March 19, at 7 p.m. to discuss appropriations for the Police Department, Fire Department and Springvale. At this point in the meeting, a lengthy discussion ensued regarding the earlier vote on suspension of the rules for Ordinance 2001-40 which had failed to pass. There was no motion to reconsider.
