Council Minutes 3/6/2001 <br />~,,,~ MLSCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />~,,, President Saringer asked that the Public Safety Committee take Ordinance 2041-40 back <br />into committee and try to come to a satisfactory conclusion for the safety of the children. <br />Other committee assignments are as follows: Ordinances 2001-22, 2001-33 through <br />2001-39, Resolutions 2001-25 and 2001-26 to Finance; Resolution 2001-23 to Finance <br />and Environmental; Resolution 2001-24, to Public Safety; Resolution 2001-31 to <br />Legislative; Resolution 2001-32 to Transportation. <br />President Saringer reminded Council that the public hearing on Ordinance 2000-13 will <br />be held at 7 p.m on Apri123. <br />Councilwoman Kasler scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation; <br />Long-Range Planning Committee for 6:15 p.m. on March 12 to discuss Ordinance <br />2001-31. <br />Councilman O'Grady scheduled a meeting of the Safety Committee with regard to <br />Resolution 2001-24 and Ordinance 2001-40 on March 12 at 6:30 p.m. The Service and <br />Safety Directors and Engineer Griffith are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Nashar scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 6 p.m, on March 13 to <br />discuss Planning Commission items. The City Engineer and Building Commissioner are <br />asked to attend. <br />Councilman Dailey scheduled a Transportation Committee meeting for March 12, <br />immediately following the Safety Committee meeting, to discuss Resolution 2001-32. <br />Councilman McKay scheduled the following Finance Committee meetings: <br />• Monday, March 12, at 7 p.m to discuss appropriations for the Human Resources and <br />Recreation Departments. Mr. Copeland and Todd Morgan are asked to attend. <br />• Tuesday, March 13, at 7 p.m to discuss appropriations for the Safety Department <br />including the Building Department, the Law Department, the Finance Department, <br />the Mayor's departments and Gity Council. All related directors are asked to attend. <br />• Wednesday, March 14, at 7 p.m to discuss appropriations for the Service Department <br />including the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Public Works and NOMBL. Mr. <br />Bohlmann, Tom Terbrack from NOMBL and Bob Nichols from WWTP are asked to <br />attend. <br />• Monday, March 19, at 6 p.m. the committee will meet to discuss the ordinances <br />which were assigned to it. <br />• Monday, March 19, at 7 p.m. to discuss appropriations for the Police Department, <br />Fire Department and Springvale. <br />At this point in the meeting, a lengthy discussion ensued regarding the earlier vote on <br />suspension of the rules for Ordinance 2001-40 which had failed to pass.
