Council Minutes of 12/17/2002 <br />;~,,,, Councilman Nashar, chairperson of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: <br />1) The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on December 9. Present were <br />committee members McKay and Nashar; Law Director Dubelko; Councilman Limpert. <br />The committee discussed the following: <br />Ordinance 2002-186, an ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zoning Map <br />of the City of North Olmsted by changing the zoning of an approximately 5.5 acre <br />vacant parcel of land known as P. P. No. 237-19-002, located south of Brookpark <br />Road and east of Columbia Road, the site of the proposed Rockwynd single family <br />cluster development from One Family Residential District to Single Family Cluster. <br />This ordinance has been before the Planning Commission and was recommended for <br />approval. A public hearing will be held in the near future. The committee <br />recommended approval. <br />2) The BZD Committee met again this evening. Present were committee members <br />McKay, Gazeau and Nashar. The committee discussed the following: <br />Chipotle Mexican Grill and Restaurant, located at 26420 Lorain Road. Representing <br />Chipotle was Ed Wilson and Cheryl Obert. This is a proposal for a new building to <br />be located west of Chi Chi's on the site of the former Park-N-Ride. The building will <br />be 2,100 squaze feet with a patio of 346 square feet. This will be an all brick building. <br />The dumpster, which will be located adjacent to it, will also be brick enclosed. The <br />building itself will be a brown brick and it will have accent aluminum siding which <br />will be a soft red/mazoon color. The site will have five light poles, and these light <br />poles will match the existing poles in the parking lot in height. The inside of the <br />restaurant will accommodate approximately 24 tables, and the outside patio will <br />accommodate approximately 20. There will be 37 parking spaces required for this <br />location. There will be a 3 1/2 foot wire mesh fence with an aluminum rail around <br />the patio, and it will have a gate opening. The landscaping was discussed, and it was <br />recommended by the committee that additional trees be planted. The committee <br />recommended a landscaping plan that would be more aesthetically pleasing as the site <br />is in front of the Great Northern Plaza. The representatives will return to the <br />committee with another proposal and will contact City Forester Dave Wendell. After <br />discussion, the committee recommended approval of the Chipotle Mexican <br />Restaurant and Grill subject to the recommendations of the various boards and <br />commissions and the committee Councilman Nashar moved to approve the Chipotle <br />Mexican Restaurant and Grill subject to all the recommendations of the boards, <br />commissions and committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and <br />passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Limpert, chairperson of the Environmental Control Committee: 1) The <br />committee met on December 17. Present were committee members Limpert, Dailey and <br />Kasler. The following items were discussed: <br />Resolution 2002-185, a resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase of 35,000 gallons of sodium aluminate for the <br />7 <br />
