Council Minutes of 9/17/2002 <br />~~~, Ordinance No. 2002-132 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />h~v. ordinance accepting a water main easement located on property owned by Ronald W. and <br />Mary Sue Claus and desig~ted as Permanent Parcel No. 235-12-100 on the Cuyahoga <br />County Maps and Records, in connection with the existing Northern Avenue water main <br />located on said property, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-133 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance accepting a water main easement located on property owned by Robert J. <br />Patton, Trs. and designated as Permanent Parcel No. 235-12-102 on the Cuyahoga <br />County Maps and Records, in connection with the existing Northern Avenue water main <br />located on said property, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-134 introduces by Councilman Miller was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing and directing Don Copeland, Director of the Department of <br />Human Resources, to prepare, and the Mayor to make application, on behalf of the City <br />of North Olmsted for Community Development Block Grant funds for the fiscal yeaz <br />2003 for two projects titled property/Facility Improvements For The Horizon Activities <br />Centers -Early Irnervention Cemer and Americans With Disabilities Act Improvements <br />To The Front Entrance Of North Olmsted City Hall and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Miller moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings and <br />remarked that the legislation has been reported out from committee. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Nashaz and passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-134 adopted. Councilman Miller recognized all the members of the <br />CDBG Committee and the members who were present, Mr. Barker and Mr. Vannoy. <br />Their efforts aze appreciated in bringing these funds irno our city for such worthwhile <br />projects. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-137 was introduced by Councilman McKay on behalf of the entire <br />Council. An ordinance to revise the Codified Ordinances by adopting current <br />replacement pages, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Nashaz and passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashaz and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-137 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-140 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman <br />Kasler. An ordinance amending Section 161.08 of the Administrative Code, entitled <br />"Military Leave Benefits," in order to extend the time period, during which permanent <br />city employees called up to military duty pursuant to executive order of the President or <br />Act of Congress aze entitled to continue to receive city employee benefits, from one (1) <br />year to five (5) years, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-141 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to sell certain property from the "James Lumber" <br />property now awned by the city, to-wit: a flag pole, and declaring an emergency. <br />15 <br />
