Council Minutes of 8/20/2002 <br />.~. Ordinance No. 2002-115 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />` ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to sell, by auction, a 1998 Ford <br />Crown Victoria, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Limpert made a motion to amend Resolution No. 2002-116 by removing the <br />words "Service Director" and inserting the word "Mayor" due to the fact that the position <br />of Service Director is vacant at this time. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Nashar and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2002-116 introduced by Mayor Musial <br />was given its second reading as amended. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to solicit <br />bids for the purchase of eight thousand (8,000) tons of rock salt for ice and snow removal <br />per specifications on file in his office, and authorizing the Mayor to enter imo a contract <br />for said purchase subject to approval by the Board of Control, and declaring an <br />emergency as amended. Councilman McKay moved to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman McKay moved to adopt Resolution No. 2002-116. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2002-116 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-117 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2002 as <br />amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-118 introduced by Councilman Nashar and Councilman McKay was <br />given its second reading. An ordinance amending Sections 1149.02, 1149.03, 1149.041 <br />and 1149.07 of Chapter 1149 of the Zoning Code (Mixed Use District) in order to <br />provide more flexibility for land development in Mixed Use District "D," and further to <br />protect adjacent residential districts from the adverse impacts of development in this <br />Mixed Use District classification. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-119 introduced by Councilman McKay and Councilman Nashar was <br />given its second reading. An ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of <br />the City of North Olmsted by changing the hereinafter described approximately 24-acre <br />vacant parcel of land along the north side of Brookpark Road, between Great Northern <br />Boulevard and Columbia Road, and commonly known as "Parcel E," from Office Use <br />District to Mixed Use "D" District. <br />Resolution No. 2002-120 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing and directing the Director of the Department of Human Resources <br />for and on behalf of the City of North Olmsted to apply to the Western Reserve Area <br />Agency on Aging for funds from said agency for the city's programs under the Title III of <br />the Older Americans Act of 1967 (42 USC 35) which provide funding for transportation, <br />nutrition and support programs, and partial funding for supplemental programs <br />thereunder, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of <br />the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. <br />18 <br /> <br />
