Council Minutes of 6/4/2002 r=w. LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 2002-42 introduced by Councilman Gareau was given its third reading. An ordinance amending Section 533.05 of the General Offenses Code to define the offense of importuning in gender neutral terms. Councilman Gareau moved to table Ordinance 2002-42. The motion to table was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2002-42 tabled. Ordinance No. 2002-60 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2002 as amended. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2002-60 adopted. Resolution No. 2002-67 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to solicit bids for new weapons for the City of North Olmsted Police Department, authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of said weapons subject to approval by the Board of Control, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Kasler moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2002-67 adapted. Ordinance No. 2002-69 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to receive proposals and authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement for designing and preparation of drawings for the rehabilitation of the Low Pressure Oxidation Building No. 1 (LPO1) roof, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2002-69 adopted. Ordinance No. 2002-71 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance creating new Section 141.08 of the Administrative Code entitled "Environmental Specialist," in order to create and provide for the duties of the position of Environmental Specialist, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2002-73 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance dispensing with employing an RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Floyd Browne Associates, Inc. for the purpose of creating a master plan for a developing area within both the Willow Woods subdivision and a surrounding area of Olmsted Township within the North Olmsted Sewer District, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2002-76 introduced by Mayor Musial and the entire Council was given its second reading. An ordinance amending Section 915.04 (User Charges) of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code, in order to eliminate the 1.0 MCF per quarter minimum sewer use charge for the OM&R component of the sewer rate for North Olmsted users, and declaring an emergency as amended. 12
