Council Minutes of 5/21/2002 <br />,, Ordinance No. 2002-78 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musiai. An <br />,~ ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of a portion of <br />the Mongello property located at 3683, 3685, 3687 and 3689 Claque Road, North <br />Olmsted, Ohio (Permanent Parcel No. 231-12-17) for the purpose of widening Claque <br />Road, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2002-78 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-79 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. Olesky property located at 3639 Claque Road, North <br />Olmsted, Ohio (Permanent Parcel No. 231-12-12) for the purpose of widening Claque <br />Road, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Dailey and passed unanimously. Janet Saringer, 23336 Stoneybrook Drive, <br />inquired if this parcel was north of Lorain as she believed the residents were previously <br />told that the work would not interfere with the church driveway. Mayor Musial said the <br />property was on the north side, and Law Director Dubelko said it was the fourth property <br />on the east side of Claque Road. Councilman Dailey said that the Olesky property was <br />the first residential property next to the Mongello property. Councilman McKay moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Dailey and passed unanimously. <br />''~ Ordinance No. 2002-79 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-80 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Nashar on behalf of himself and Councilman McKay. An ordinance amending Section <br />1139.02 (Motorist Service District) of the Zoning Code in order to provide for additional <br />permitted uses upon land zoned for Motorist Service District use. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-81 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Nashar on behalf of himself and Councilman McKay. An ordinance providing for the <br />amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted by changing the hereinafter <br />described parcel of real property located at 31515 Lorain Road from Limited Industry- <br />Industrial Park District to Motorist Service District. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman McKay received a letter from Terry and Jane Brennan who live on Mastick <br />Road. They asked that he forward the letter on to Fire Chief Bak. Mr. McKay felt it <br />would also be appropriate to read it at the Council meeting: "Dear Chief, early this <br />morning we had to call your department because of a medical emergency. Jane's mother <br />is living with us now due to a deteriorating diabetic condition. She had a reaction, and <br />her blood sugar dropped to 18. Despite knowing what to do, we were unsuccessful in our <br />attempts to get her to ingest soda or glucose tablets. We had to call for help.
