Council Minutes of 5/8/2002 <br />A the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2002-b4 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-65 was irnroduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau. An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North <br />Olmsted of amendments to Article III, Sections 3 and 5(b); and Article VII, Section i(a), <br />2(a), and 4(a) of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to remove all references to <br />voting by "elected" members of Council. <br />Resolution No. 2002-66 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to solicit bids for the construction of <br />new tennis courts at North Olmsted Park, and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract for said construction subject to approval by the Board of Cornrol and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Miller moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review and remarked that this had been discussed earlier this <br />evening in caucus. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2002-66 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2002-b7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to solicit bids for new weapons for <br />the City of North Olmsted Police Department, authorizing the Mayor to enter imo a <br />contract for the purchase of said weapons subject to approval by the Board of Control, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-68 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to ernes into a new <br />professional services ageement with Jerry Ludvik, the golf pro at the Springvale Golf <br />Course, for the period April 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review and with the comment that Mr. Ludvik has been <br />performing in this capacity for many years. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Gareau and passed unanimously. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2002-68 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-69 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to receive proposals and authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into an agreemern for designing and preparation of drawings for the <br />rehabilitation of the low pressure oxidation building No. 1 (LPOl) roof, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br /> <br />14 <br />,, ~ . <br />
