Couacal Minutes of 3/5/02 <br />Resolution No. 2002-29 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />'~ McKay oa behalf of the Mayor and all of Council. A resolution authorizing the Director <br />of Public Service to advertise for bids for the South Camerbury Road reconaitruc~ion in <br />the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-30 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Ohn~ed to enter into an agreement <br />with Medina County Board of Coumy Commissioners, providing for the said Board to <br />house North Olmsted prisoners at the Medina County Jail, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-31 was inii-oduced 8~ placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter' 1301 of the City Building Code entitled <br />"Ohio Building Code" for the purpose of incmrporating amendments set forth in the 2002 <br />amendments of said State law and to maintain the certification of the Building <br />Departmetrt to enforce the Ohio Building Code, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-32 was introduced a~ placed on first readir~ by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1305 of the City Building Code entitled <br />"One, Two and Three Family Dwelling Code" for the purpose of incorporating <br />amendmens to industry standards, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2002-33 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman <br />Kasler. A resolution commending the Public Service of Thomas Demaline, Fleet <br />Manager for the Cfty of North Olmsted Service Department. Councilwoman Kasler <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Miller. Roll call: Kasler, yes, noting that the <br />suspension was discussed in caucus. Roll call continued: Miller, yes; Nashar, yes; <br />McKay, yes; Dailey, yes; Gareau, yes; Limpert, yes. The motion pa,~sed unanimously. <br />Councilwoman Kasler moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Miller. Roll ca11: Kasler, yes; Miller, yes; Limpert, yes, commenting that he has known <br />Mr. Derrsaline for many, many years. He ~ecifically remembers an event that happened <br />back in the 1970's when Tom was working as a mechanic at the old garage in the park. <br />There wasn't room to put trucks in the garage, and Tom had to lay on the ground in the <br />snow to try to get one of the two or three plow trucks that the city owned back up and <br />working so that we could have some plowed streets. Whatever it took, this man did it <br />and it's good that he is being commended for it. Roll call continued: Gateau, yes; <br />McKay, yes; Nashar, yes; Dailey, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Resohrtion <br />No. 2002-33 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-34 was ittd-oduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial.
