Council Minutes of 11/5/2003 <br />Ordinance No. 2003-148 irnroduced by Council Member Kasler was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance amending Chapter 1139 of the Planning and Zoning Code, <br />entitled "Building Districts," in order to permit the installation of shade trees within the <br />right of way, specifically amending Section 1139.18. <br />Resolution No. 2003-149 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay on behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution declaring November 11, <br />2003 "Veterans Day" in North Olmsted, Ohio and to salute, honor and remember our <br />veterans at a Veterans Day ceremony on November 11, 2003 at Old Town Hall. <br />Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar. Roll <br />call: McKay, yes; Nashar, yes; Kasler, yes; Gareau, yes; Limpert, yes; Miller, yes, with <br />thanks to all of our veterans. Roll call continued: Dailey, yes. The motion passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2003-149 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-150 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2003. <br />Resolution No. 2003-151 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on <br />behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution accepting the amounts and rates as <br />determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and <br />certifying them to the Courny Auditor. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-154 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance amending Chapter 945 of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code <br />entitled "Community Cabin/Senior Center," specifically amending Section 945.05 <br />"Rates, Charges and Deposits." <br />Ordinance No. 2003-155 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to purchase two new rescue <br />squads, three new utility vehicles, and other related equipment, for the North Olmsted <br />Fire Department through the state purchase program; further authorizing the Mayor to <br />execute necessary contract. documents; and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-156 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay. Mr. McKay noted that he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. <br />An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $550,000 of notes, in anticipation of <br />the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of acquiring emergency rescue squad and other motor <br />vehicles and related equipment for the city's Fire Department. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-157 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau on behalf of himself and Council Members Kasler, Dailey and Limpert.
