Council Minutes 6/17/2003
Finance Director Copfer said everyone could talk about their different experiences with
backup. She will take responsibility for finding out what the procedures are. She can't
imagine where all this would be stored. It doesn't make sense there would be a monthly
backup in addition to the grandfather, father, son issue. Those are taken off-site and are
saved in vaults.
Charles Dial, 27959 Gardenia
^ Disagrees that it is normal practice that archival tapes are destroyed after three
months. The reason they are archival is so you have something to go back to at a
much distant point in the future if there are questions. He is saying the tapes should
be available. All the Mayor needs to do to make this all go away is take out the tapes
and lay them on the table. To Mr. Dubelko, whether or not somebody can come in
and see the tape would be like him coming into the office and asking if he has a filing
cabinet and can he see it. Looking at contents of filing cabinet is a different issue
from a citizen asking if you have one.
LEGISLATION
Councilman Gazeau moved to reconsider Ordinance No. 2003-43 which had been vetoed
by the Mayor.
