Council Minutes of 6/3/2003 <br />,.w,,. Resolution No. 2003-81 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewal <br />agreement, for aone-year term, with Stephen Campbell & Associates, providing for the <br />service and repair of the Police Department's 32 channel optical recording equipment, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2003-83 introduced by the Mayor and entire Council was given its second <br />reading. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with DiSilvestro <br />Roof ng Company for the purpose of making an emergency replacement of the roof at Fire <br />Station Number Two, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for <br />suspension of the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman <br />Kasler. Councilman Gareau noted he had been in contact with Mr. Mongello, whom he had <br />suggested as a resource of information for the fire station roof. He explained to Mr. <br />Mongello that it was not necessary to retrieve the prints for the fire station roof. Mr. <br />Mongella did note three or four areas that he thought the city should pay special attention to <br />based on his experience. Those will be relayed to the Safety Director for possible inclusion <br />in the contract for clarification purposes. The motion was passed unanimously. Councilman <br />McKay moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilwoman Kasler. Roll <br />call: McKay, yes; Kasler, yes; Nashar, yes; Miller, yes, commenting the safety forces have <br />been complimented this evening on their professionalism. He would also like to compliment <br />the members of our Fire Dept. who have patiently awaited this roof repair. He appreciates <br />their patience. Roll call continued: Limpert, yes; Gareau, yes; Dailey, yes, commenting that <br />he is glad to see that steps are being taken to take care of those who take care of all of us. <br />The motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2003-83 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-84 introduced by Councilman Gareau on behalf of the entire Council <br />was given its second reading. An ordinance creating new Section 941.05 of the Streets, <br />Utilities and Public Services Code, entitled "Accumulation of Garbage and Refuse as <br />Nuisance," in order to regulate the sufficiency and use of commercial and multiple family <br />trash receptacles, and declaring an emergency as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-88 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2003. <br />Resolution No. 2003-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewal <br />agreement, for a -year term with SBC Global Services, Inc., on behalf of the Ohio <br />Be1i Telephone Company, providing for centrex service to the City of North Olmsted, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2003-90 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution dispensing with the RFP process required by Sections 111.03 et seq. of the <br />Administrative Code, authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewal agreement with Jeffrey <br />A. Grusenmeyer & Associates, Inc. for an additional one year term, to serve as plans <br />examiner for the North Olmsted Building Department, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review, and the motion was seconded by Councilman McKay.
