Council Minutes of 5/7/2003 <br />3,~„, the legislation originated in committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />- Limpert and passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2003-71 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2003-72 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. A resolution urging the Ohio <br />Senate and Ohio House of Representatives to override any veto by Governor Taft of the <br />elimination of E-check emissions inspections. Councilman McKay moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Dailey. Roll call: McKay, yes; Dailey, yes; Gazeau, yes; <br />Kasler, yes; Limpert, yes, commenting the current E-check is totally unnecessary on <br />newer cars and this program takes citizens' money and their time. Roll call continued: <br />Miller, yes; Nashaz, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Dailey. Roll call: McKay, yes; <br />Dailey, yes; Nashaz, yes; Miller, yes; Limpert, yes; Kasler, yes; Gareau, yes, commenting <br />that he had been victimized by the forerunner to the E-check program to the tune of $600, <br />so he happily votes yes and hopes that the program is done away with entirely. The <br />motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2003-72 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2003-74 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on <br />behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution celebrating Arbor Day and the <br />2003 awazd of "Tree City USA" to the City of North Olmsted. Councilman Limpert <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashaz and <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2003-74 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-75 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance granting to the City of Cleveland Division of Water a limited right of way and <br />easement within certain property owned by the City of North Olmsted at the North <br />Olmsted Library for maintenance of water meter vaults, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2003-76 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the payment of thirteen thousand dollars ($13,000.00) to the North <br />Olmsted firefighters, IAFF Local 1267 for the distribution to specific officers of the <br />NOFD and in consideration of the settlement of grievances under the collective <br />bargaining agreement and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2003-77 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a new <br />maintenance agreement with Climate-Tech, Inc., providing for HVAC maintenance at <br />Fire Station Number One for cone-year period, and declazing an emergency. <br />18 <br />
