Council Minutes of 5/7/2003
,~, this yeaz. Councilman Miller noted that streets listed in the specs for slab repair are
primazily in two developments and asked if all the streets would be done this yeaz.
Mayor Musial answered that not all the streets on the list will be done this year as it
would require at least a million dollazs and we only have approximately two hundred
and fifty thousand dollazs. We will do the most number of feet as possible with the
funds that aze available. We will try to do the streets that aze in most need.
Councilman Miller commented that he felt those comments were contradictory as
doing the most number of feet would suggest the better streets would be done first.
Councilman Limpert noted that he had met with the two homeowners' associations,
and the residents in attendance had given their recommendations and/or preferences
of what streets should be done first. The plan will not be finalized until the cost
estimates are received.
^ With regazd to the position of Service Director, have any formal or informal
interviews been done and has the Mayor committed the city to a particulaz candidate?
Mayor Musial answered that he had a discussion with an individual, but it was not an
interview. He has not made any pre-determinations. All candidates will have an
equal opportunity.
Law Director Dubelko: 1) With the departure of Service Director Creadon, he is hopeful
the members of the administration and City Council can, in a cooperative partnership-like
effort emphasizing open government, start anew the task of tackling and resolving the
many problems which face the city.
