Council Minutes of 4/15/23 <br />Rotary Mower with a 72" Lastec Deck, further authorizing the trade-in of an existing <br />lawn mowing equipment. The current mower is in need of much repair which would <br />be very expensive, so it is being traded in for the John Deere mower. The committee <br />recommended approval and suspension of the rule requiring three readings. <br />^ Ordinance 2003-65, authorizing the Director of Finance to request proposals from <br />information system consultants to develop design specifications for the purchase and <br />installation of a new financial accounting information system for the City of North <br />Olmsted; further, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the <br />consultant selected in the RFP process, and declaring an emergency. The committee <br />recommended approval and suspension of the rule requiring three readings. <br />Councilman Nashar, chairperson of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: <br />1) The BZD Committee met on April 8. Present were committee members McKay, <br />Gareau, Nashar; Councilmen Limpert, Miller; Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, <br />Safety Director Jesse. Agenda items were as follows: <br />^ Ordinance 2003-62, an ordinance accepting a water main easement located on the <br />property owned by Capital Hill Development and designated as Permanent Parcel <br />No23i-19-017 on the Cuyahoga County Maps and Records in connection with the <br />water main supplying water service for Rosewood Cluster, and declaring an <br />emergency. This is located at 3690 Columbia Road, and it will tie in a water main at <br />that particular area. After lengthy discussion, the committee recommended approval. <br />Councilman Gareau requested chat BZD chairperson Nashar take the renovation of the <br />Shell gas station at Clague and Lorain roads back into committee as the company has <br />submitted new renderings for consideration. Mr. Nashar agreed to discuss this issue at <br />the next committee meeting to be held on Tuesday, Apri129. <br />Councilman Limpert, chairperson of the Streets & Drainage Committee: 1) The Streets <br />& Drainage Committee met Tuesday evening, April 8. In attendance were committee <br />members Miller and Limpert; Council members Gareau, McKay and Kasler; Mayor <br />Musial, Safety Director Jesse, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer. The <br />following items were discussed: <br />^ Resolution 2003-61, a resolution to grind out and repave South Canterbury Road. <br />This type of repair should last at least three to five years. With some of the new <br />improvemerrts to drainage that have been done, it could last even longer. He <br />requested that the Long-Range Planning Committee look at perhaps doing this road in <br />concrete the next time, and Mr. Miller, the committee chairperson, agreed to that <br />future planning. The committee unanimously recommended approval of Resolution <br />2003-61. <br />^ A follow-up to the street tow. Canterbury Road was an important part of that tour, <br />and it will be addressed through Resolution 2003-61. Mr. Miller was concerned as to <br />exactly how much money was available for street repairs this year. Mrs_ Copfer <br />pointed out that she could not provide the exact number because of some outstanding <br />issues in the Clague Road intersection and the Columbia Road easement.
